II.WorkProgress

A.CurriculumDesign

1.ResearchandAnalysis

-Conductedin-depthresearchontheteachingmaterialsandlearningrequirementsoftherelevantcoursemodule.AnalyzedtheexistingEnglishteachingresourcesandcomparedthemwiththelearningobjectivesofthismodule.

-Studiedthepreviousstudents'performancedatainsimilarmodulestoidentifycommondifficultiesandareasthatneedimprovement.

2.DesignFramework

-Developedadetailedcurriculumframework,whichincludesteachingobjectives,teachingcontentarrangements,teachingmethods,andassessmentmethods.Theteachingcontentisdividedintodifferentunitsaccordingtolanguageskills(listening,speaking,reading,andwriting)andtopics.

-Foreachunit,designedcorrespondingteachingactivities,suchasgroupdiscussions,role-plays,andreadingcomprehensionexercises,toenhancestudents'activeparticipationandlanguageproficiency.

3.MaterialPreparation

-Compiledteachingmaterials,includingcreatingPPTswithvividpictures,relevanttexts,andinteractiveelements.Alsoselectedappropriatesupplementaryreadingmaterialsandaudio-visualresourcestoenrichtheteachingcontent.Bytheendoftheweek,theinitialdraftofthecurriculumdesignforthismodulewascompleted.

B.StudentTutoring

1.StudentAssessment

-AssessedtheEnglishwritingskillsof15studentswhorequestedtutoring.Analyzedtheirwritingsamples,focusingongrammar,vocabularyusage,sentencestructure,andlogicalorganization.

-Identifiedthemainproblemsofeachstudent,suchasfrequentgrammarerrorsamongsomestudents,andlackofcoherenceinwritingforothers.

2.IndividualTutoringPlan

-Basedontheassessmentresults,formulatedindividualizedtutoringplansforeachstudent.Forstudentswithgrammarproblems,providedtargetedgrammarexercisesanddetailedexplanations.Forthosewithwritingcoherenceissues,taughtthemhowtousetransitionalwordsandphrasesandorganizeparagraphs.

-Conductedone-on-onetutoringsessionswitheachstudent,witheachsessionlastingabout30minutes.Bytheendoftheweek,all15studentshadreceivedatleastonetutoringsession,andsomestudentswithmoreseriousproblemshadreceivedtwosessions.

-Aftereachtutoringsession,assignedrelevantwritingtaskstohelpstudentspracticetheskillstheyhadlearned.

C.SeminarParticipation

1.SeminarAttendance

-AttendedanEnglishteachingseminarorganizedby[SeminarOrganizer].Theseminarfocusedonthethemeof"InnovativeEnglishTeachingMethodsintheDigitalAge".

2.KnowledgeAcquisition

-Listenedtoseveralkeynotespeechesdeliveredbywell-knownEnglisheducators.Learnedaboutthelatestdigitalteachingtools,suchasonlinelanguagelearningplatformsandartificialintelligence-assistedteachingsoftware,andhowtointegratethemintodailyEnglishteaching.

-Theprocessofcurriculumdesignwasmoretime-consumingthanexpected,especiallywhenitcametoselectingappropriateteachingmaterialsandcreatinginteractiveteachingactivities.Asaresult,someoftheplannedtasksinstudenttutoringwerepostponed.

2.DiverseLearningAbilitiesinStudentTutoring

-Duringthestudenttutoringprocess,itwasfoundthatthestudents'Englishwritingabilitiesvariedgreatly.Itwaschallengingtomeetthelearningneedsofeachstudentwithinalimitedtutoringtime.

B.Solution

1.TimeManagement

-Re-arrangedmyworkschedule,settingasidespecifictimeslotsfordifferenttasks.Prioritizedthemosturgenttasksanddelegatedsomenon-essentialtaskstomyassistant.Also,improvedmyworkefficiencybyusingsometime-managementtools,suchastask-listapps.

2.DifferentiatedInstructioninTutoring

-Furtherrefinedtheindividualizedtutoringplans.Forstudentswithrelativelyhighwritingabilities,providedmoreadvancedwritingtopicsandin-depthfeedback.Forstudentswithlowerabilities,focusedonbasicgrammarandsimplesentenceconstruction,andincreasedthefrequencyoffollow-uptutoring.
