platecoatedwithamixtureofresin10,wax,andpaperash.Gen-

tlyheatingthisplateandpressingthetypeswithasmoothplate

toensuretheywereonthesamelevel,hethenlettheplatecool

sothatthetypewassolidified11andbecameapieceofprint.

Oncetheimpressionhadbeenmade,thetypecouldbedetached12byreheatingtheplate.BiShengpreparedtwoironplatestobe
