教材分析

本单元的主题是“道德与美德”,涉及四个环节,分别为“听说”、“读思"、“听讲”、“读写”。本课为第二部分,是一篇阅读,是关于林巧稚博士的一篇人物介绍,针对林巧稚女士的背景、学历、工作经历和所做贡献以时间顺序阐述说明,培养学生高阶思维能力,使学生带入其中,思考人生选择,并在主人公身上找到共鸣,找到自己坚守一生的准则。

本文共有6个段落,作者在第一段引用了林巧稚的话,引起学生共鸣,在第二和第三段介绍了林巧稚从小到大的人生选择,后面三个段落则是详细说明了林巧稚女士对我国医学事业发展的贡献。

学情分析

授课对象为某中学高三班学生39人。该班学生整体外向、开朗、思维活跃。除了个别英语成绩比较突出外,大部分学生处于中等水平。在39名学生中,有4名学生入校时英语为零基础,但是两年的学习之后,已经具备了初级的英语功底。整体看,该班学生能用英语提取信息、处理信息,简单表达自己的观点,但是运用英语连贯地描述事件、阐释意义和批判评价的能力都比较弱。

教学目标

经过本课的学习,学生能够:

1.提取语篇大意,运用不同阅读方法总结和归纳文中关于林巧稚博士的相关信息。

2.通过活动,基于自主学习与小组合作学习,掌握文章体裁,对文本从不同角度进行分析和深度解读。

3.基于所读文本,推断和概括林巧稚作为医生的优秀品质,并发表个人观点。

学习准备:学生课前已经自学新单词,并预习课文。
