【注意】

序数词前常用定冠词，有时还可以用不定冠词a/an则表示“又一”的意思。

ni.数词的应用

1.年月日的表示：①年份用基数诃，如2000twothousand;1905nineteen0five

②日用序数词,如5月8日,写作：May8th;读作：Maytheeighth;

2.分数的表达：分子用基数词，分母用序数词，分子大于1,分母则加s。

如1/3onethird;2/3twothirds;1/4onefourth/aquarter;3/4threefourths/

threequarters;

3.倍数的表达：一倍once;两倍twice;两倍以上用基数词+times：5倍fivetimes

4.时间表达法：时间可用顺读法或倒读法两种方式表达，介词要使用ato例如：

5：00five(o'clock)

6：18sixeighteen或eighteenpastsix

12：15twelvefifteen或fifteen(aquarter)pasttwelve

4：30fourthirty或halfpastfour

6：45sixfortyfiveaquartertoseven

【特别注意】

L序数词应注意的几点事项：

(1)多位数的基数词变成序数词时，只需将末位基数词变成序数词，前边的基数词不变。

如：

fortytwo42fortysecond第42

ninehundred900ninehundredth第900

(2)当序数词用阿拉伯数字表示时，必须在数字后加上序数词的最后两个字母。

如：21sl第2132nd第32

(3)编了号的事物要用基数词表示顺序，但是基数词要后置。

例如：第一课：LessonOne第三十二页：Page32

第305房间：Room305第12路公共汽车：BasNo.12

(4)序数词前一般要用定冠词the,如果序数词前用a或an时，则表示“又一；再一”(没

有具体范围的限制)。如:Thoughhehadfailedtwice,hewantedtotryathirdtime.尽

管他己失败了两次，他还想再试一次。
