Thealgorithmquicklyidentifiednearlytwomillionpreviouslyhiddentinyquakesfrom

priorquakesearcheswereunabletosee.Therewasadrawback,however.Thisprogramcould
onlyfindearthquakesintheseismicrecordthatitwastaughttorecognize.Novelseismicevents
wentunnoticed.SoRossturnedtoAItools:self-leaningprograms,softwarethatcouldtake
preexistinginformationandmakepredictionsaboutthefuture.

thebody'sownimmune(免疫的)systemtoattacktumors,andprecisionformsofradiation
