Teachingcontent:Usinglanguage:Heroicteenagerreceivesaward

Briefintroductionoftheteachingdesign:

Thepassageisareadingmaterialintroducingwhatateenagerhasdonetosavethewoman’slife.Afterreading,theimportanceofthefirstaidandthegoodqualitiesoftheteenagerareclearlypresentedtothestudents.

Inthisdesign,Iattachimportancetothefollowingthreeaspects.

Thefirstaspectisfocusingonreadinganddiscussing;throughwhichstudentshaveaclearpictureoftheheroicdeeds.

Thesecondoneliesinshowingakindofsimilarsituationinourdailylife(whosetopiciscloselyrelatedtoourownexperience)tobetterunderstandtheimportanceofthefirstaid.Theyarerequiredtobeequippedwiththeknowledgeoffirstaidbasedonthereadingtext.

Thethirdoneistohaveagoodunderstandingofthegoodqualitiesacitizenshouldhaveandrealizethedeepermeaningofthesocialresponsibility.

Teachingaims:

1.Toguidethestudentstolearnaboutbasicknowledgeonhowtodofirstaidthroughreadingandsummarizing

2.Tocultivatestudents’abilitiesinspeakingbyapplyingnewwordsandphrasesinthetext

3.Toraisestudents’awarenessoftheimportanceofhowtodofirstaidandbeingequippedwithmanygoodcharacteristicstotakesocialresponsibilityTeachingimportantanddifficultpoints:

1.Learntheprocessoftheheroicdeeds.Accordingtothetext,trytounderstandthekeywordsandphrases,suchasbravery,putone’shandson,apply,scream,performfirstaid,andmakearealdifference.
