(栖息地).In2022,seabiologistsmentionedthediscoveryofover5,000newspeciesduring
researchtripstothearea.
Withsomuchvarietyoflivingthingslefttoexplore,environmentalistshaverepeatedlyvoiced
worriesabouttheenvironmentalinfluencesofdeepseaminingonareasliketheCCZ.However,
thereishardlyanyresearchintothetopic.
“Importantmetalsareneededforourgreenchangeandtheyareinshortsupply,”Dahlgren,
studyco-author,said.“Severalofthesemetalsarefoundinlargenumbersonthedeep-seafloor,
butuntilnow,noonehasshownhowtheycanbetakenoutorwhatenvironmentalinfluencethis
wouldhave.”

connectedwithbrainsthatappearedolder.However,thoseconnectionsdecreasedovertime.
Instead,protectivehabitssuchasrestfulsleep,healthybodyweight,effectivestressmanagement,
avoidingtobaccoandkeepingsupportiverelationshipsshowedastrongerandmorelasting
connectiontoyoungerappearingbrains.
Volunteerswhoreportedthehighestnumberofprotectivethingsbeganthestudywithbrains
thatlookedeightyearsyoungerthantheiractualage,andtheirbrainagingcontinuedtoprogress
moreslowlythroughoutthetwo-yearfollow-up.
"Themessageisthesameacrossourstudies.Health-promotingactionsarenotonlyconnected
withlowerpainandbetterphysicalfunctioning,buttheyappeartoactuallyimprovehealthinan

Althoughtheresearchcenteredonpeopleexperiencingchronicpain,theauthorsnotethat
habitssuchasloweringstress,buildingupsocialsupportandkeepinghealthysleeppatternsare
