“双减”背景下初中生英语学习动机现状和激发策略研究InthecontextoftheDoubleReductionpolicy,whichaimstoreducetheburdenofstudents'academicpressureandimprovetheirlearningefficiency,themotivationstatusofjuniorhighschoolstudentsinEnglishlearninghasbecomeahottopicineducationalresearch.Thispaperaimstoexplorethecurrentsituationofjuniorhighschoolstudents'EnglishlearningmotivationundertheDoubleReductionbackgroundandproposeeffectivestrategiestostimulatetheirlearningmotivation.Firstly,itisnecessarytoclarifythecurrentsituationofjuniorhighschoolstudents'Englishlearningmotivation.Accordingtothesurveydata,themajorityofjuniorhighschoolstudentshavearelativelylowlevelofEnglishlearningmotivation.TheyarenotveryinterestedinlearningEnglish,andtheylackthedesiretolearnEnglish.Thisphenomenonismainlyduetotheheavyworkloadofmiddleschoolstudents,thepressureofexams,andthelackofinterestinEnglishlearning.Secondly,thispaperwillanalyzethereasonsbehindthephenomenonoflowEnglishlearningmotivationamongjuniorhighschoolstudents.Themainreasonsareasfollows:1.Theheavyworkloadofmiddleschoolstudents.Inrecentyears,withtheimplementationoftheDoubleReductionpolicy,theworkloadofmiddleschoolstudentshasincreasedsignificantly.Theyneedtostudymoresubjects,completemorehomework,andparticipateinmoreextracurricularactivities,whichmakesthemfeeloverwhelmedandexhausted.2.Thepressureofexams.Asacompulsorysubject,Englishlearningisoftenseenasanimportantmeansformiddleschoolstudentstoprepareforcollegeentranceexaminations.Therefore,theyareundergreatpressuretoachievegoodresultsinEnglishtests,whichleadstoadecreaseintheirinterestinlearningEnglish.3.ThelackofinterestinEnglishlearning.ManyjuniorhighschoolstudentsdonothaveastronginterestinEnglishlearning.TheymaynotunderstandtheimportanceofEnglishlearningfortheirfuturedevelopmentorfinditdifficulttocommunicatewithpeoplewhospeakEnglish.Thirdly,thispaperwillproposesomeeffectivestrategiestostimulatejuniorhighschoolstudents'Englishlearningmotivation.1.Adjustingtheteachingmethods.Teachersshouldadoptmoreinterestingandinteractiveteachingmethodstoattractstudents'attentionandstimulatetheirinterestinlearningEnglish.Forexample,teacherscanusemultimediateachingtoolstocreateavividEnglishlearningenvironment,ororganizevariousEnglish-speakingactivitiestoenhancestudents'practicallanguageskills.2.Reducingtheworkloadofmiddleschoolstudents.Teacherscanadjusttheteachingcontentandpaceaccordingtotheactualsituationofeachclass,andprovideappropriateguidanceandhelptostudentstoreducetheirworkload.Atthesametime,teacherscanencouragestudentstotakepartinvariousextracurricularactivitiestoenrichtheirsparetime.3.EncouragingstudentstoparticipateinEnglish-speakingcompetitions.OrganizingandparticipatinginEnglish-speakingcompetitionscanhelpstudentsdeveloptheirconfidenceandinterestinlearningEnglish.Atthesametime,thesecompetitionscanalsoprovidestudentswithvaluableexperienceandopportunitiesforpractice.4.Providingpsychologicalsupporttostudents.Teachersshouldpayattentiontothepsychologicalneedsofstudentsandprovidethemwithemotionalsupportandencouragement.WhenstudentsencounterdifficultiesinlearningEnglish,teachersshouldencouragethemtopersistandtrytheirbesttosolveproblems.Inconclusion,thecurrentsituationofjuniorhighschoolstudents'EnglishlearningmotivationundertheDoubleReductionbackgroundisnotoptimistic.However,byadjustingteachingmethods,reducingworkload,encouragingparticipationinEnglish-speakingcompetitions,andprovidingpsychologicalsupport,wecaneffectivelystimulatestudents'EnglishlearningmotivationandpromotethehealthydevelopmentoftheirEnglishlearning.通过实施上述策略,我们期望能够有效提升初中生在“双减”政策背景下的英语学习动机。这不仅需要教师的积极引导和学生的主动参与,还需要学校、家庭以及社会各界的共同支持与配合。为了实现这一目标,我们需要从多
