Thepurposesofcommunicationaretoobtaincompleteunderstandingbetweenthepartiesinvolved,andtoelicittheresponsesrequired.Generallyspeaking,thefunctionsofabusinessletteraretoaskforortoconveybusinessinformation,tomakeortoacceptanoffer,andtodealwithmattersconcerningvariousbusinesses.Businessletterwritingdoesnotdifferfromanyotherformofcreativewriting.GoodEnglishisoneoftheimportantbasesofagoodbusinessletterwriting.Whatyouwriteshouldbefreefromgrammaticalblemishes,andalsofreefromtheslightestpossibilityofbeingmisunderstood.Usually,therearecertainessentialrequirementsforagoodbusinessletter,whichcanbesummedupintheSevenCsprinciple,i.e.Completeness,Concreteness,Clearness/Clarity,Conciseness,Courtesy,Consideration,Correctness.TheseCsoftengohand-in-hand.TheBasicRequirementsofBusinessEnglishLettersWritingPart11.Completeness(完整)
