目的论指导下的新闻翻译分析研究 英语学管理专业

摘要新闻作为信息传递的一个主要工具，已经成为人们日常生活中不可或缺的一部分。随着改革与对外开放进程的不断加深和经济全球化和各国之间各方面交流的不断深入，中国的国力越来越强盛，中国态度在世界舞台上也越来越掷地有声。翻译是一种跨文化的交际行为，翻译所采用的方法策略应有翻译行为所达到的目的决定，英语新闻的汉译是为了让中国读者更多的了解我们所生活的世界，换句话说也是为了达到交际的目的。达到这一目的，译者需要考虑读者的文化，使翻译符合目的语的规范，符合他们的阅读习惯，实现预计目的。作为硬新闻的一种形式，在时政新闻部分中汉语译成英语是范英语新闻中的主要部分之一，而时政新闻同时应该具备吸引读者的特点。另外，还应该具有英语新闻所拥有的客观性以及准确性，严肃性的特点，从理论的角度来考虑，传统的翻译理论，对于新闻翻译的适用性影响较小，而翻译的目的是为了把翻译进行同等的约束。目的论认为，在整个翻译的过程中都必须要结合翻译的目的来开展。在适当的时候使用增加、删减、省略甚至改译等翻译策略翻译出更符合预期的译文。由于新闻翻译的特色及承担的社会功能，目的论对新闻翻译具有指导作用。目的论在直译与意译的基础上，打破译者在翻译中所扮演的一味的模仿者的角色，使其在面对翻译时成为具有充分自主性的创造者。关键词：目的论；翻译；新闻翻译；时政新闻ABSTRACTNowadays,asamaintooltotransferinformation,newshasbecomeaninseparablepartofhuman'sdailylife.Withtheprocessofreformandopeningup,underthebackgroundofeconomicglobalization,nationalexchangesofallaspectsbecamemorefrequentandChina’snationalstrengthhasbecomestrongerandstronger,andChina’svoicehasbecomemoreandmoreessentialontheworldstage.Translationisanactofinterculturalcommunication.Themethodandstrategyadoptedintheprocessoftranslationshouldbedeterminedbyitspurpose.AndthepurposeofChinesetranslationofEnglishnewsistoenableChinesereaderslearnmoreabouttheworldinwhichwelive,inotherwords,istoachievethepurposeofcommunicate.Inordertoaccomplishthisgoal,thetranslatorneedstotakethereader'seducationalbackgroundintoconsiderationsoastomakethetranslationbeinconformitywiththeprincipleofthegrammaticalcorrectnessofthetargetlanguage,andthereadinghabitsoftheaudiencetoachievetheexpectedgoal.Politicalnewsisakindofhard-news,translationofChinesePoliticalNewsisanimportantpartofEnglishnewstranslation.Ontheonehand,politicalnewshasthecharacteristicsofgeneralnews,whichisinformationdisseminationandreaderattraction;ontheotherhand,ithasthecharacteristicsofhardnewswhichisseriousness,accuracyandobjectiveness.Intermsofthetheoreticalguidance,theapplicabilityoftraditionaltranslationtheoriesisrelativelyweakintheguidanceofnewstranslation,whiletheSkopostheoryhasbreaksawayfromtheshacklesofequivalencetranslation.Skopostheoryholdsthatthewholeprocessoftranslationshouldbecloselycenteredonthepurposeofthetranslation.Andthetranslationstrategiessuchasadding,deleting,omittingandevenrewritingshouldbeusedtomakethetargettextmoreinlinewithourexpectations.Duetothecharacteristicsandsocialfunctionsofnewstranslation,theSkopostheoryistheguidingroleinnewstranslation.Onthebasisofliteraltranslationandfreetranslation,theSkopostheorybreakstheroleofimitatorthetranslatorplaysandmakestranslatorsthefullyindependentcreatorsintheprocessoftranslation.Keywords：SkoposTheory;TranslationTechnique;PoliticalNewsContentsChapterOneIntroduction 24ChapterOneIntroductionInthischapter,theauthorwillillustrateinwhichcircumstanceshechosethistopicandwhatisthesignificanceinanalyzingthepoliticaltranslationintheguidanceofSkoposTheory.What’smore,inthefirstchapter,theauthorwillbrieflyintroducethethesisstructuretofacilitatethereaderhaveaquickunderstandingaboutthecontentsofthisthesis.1.1ResearchBackgroundIntheeraofinterconnectionandtelecommunication,theworldhasbecamea“globalvillage”wherewecaneasilygetaccesstotheinformationfromanothercountry.Inthatsense,newsdisseminationplaysavitalroleintransforminginformation.Newspaperandworldwideradiohavealsobecomeaplatformforpeopletoknowtheworld.AsEnglishistheworldlanguage,itisverycommonthatsomenewsarewritteninEnglish.However,thefactorssuchasculture,backgroundinformation,politicsoftheessayandtheabilitytoreadtranslatedpassagesofforeignaudiencesarecloselyrelatedtothequalityoftheirunderstandingofthenews.Thismeansthatnewstranslationisnotonlyabilingualprocess,butalsoaprocessinwhichthetargetaudiencebecomesthemainorganization,andthepurposeofthereportshouldbetookintofullconsideration.1.2ResearchSignificanceAswementionedabove,newsdisseminationcannotonlybroadcastChina’svoicetotheworldbutalsobringnewsfromabroad.However,duetolimitedculturalandeducationalbackgrounds,manypeoplecannotreadnewsdirectlyinEnglish.SotheruleEnglish-Chinesetranslationplayscannotbemoreimportant.Skopostheorycanbedatedbacksto1970sinGermanandithasexperiencedthreestagesofdevelopmentandgraduallybecameinfluential.Skopostheoryholdsthatthepublicisthemostimportantfactorindeterminingthepurposeoftranslation.Thepurposeofcommunicationisthemostimportantpurpose.Asweallknow,translationisthebehaviorhappenedacrossdifferentnationwithdifferentculture.Thus，whichmethodandstrategyshouldthetranslatoradoptisdependsonthepurposeofthetranslation.Undersomedeterminedcircumstance,thetranslatordoesnothavetostrictlysticktotheChineseversion,ortranslateitwordbyword,orsentencebysentence.Heorshecanadddeleteorrewritethenewsintheprocessoftranslationundersuitablecircumstance.TheothertworulesofSkoposTheory:fidelityruleandcoherencerulearealsohelpthetranslatortomakethetargetedlanguagelogical,moreacceptableandinaccordancewiththehabitoftheChinesenativespeaker.Inthatcase,Scovers'theoryhaspracticalsignificanceinguidingChinesetranslationofnewstexts.Inaword,Scostheoryisveryimportantintheoryandpractice.ItguidespoliticalnewsinChineseandEnglish.1.3ThesisStructureThisthesisconsistsof4parts.Thefirstpartsistheintroduction,whichmainlyillustrateswhyIchosethistopicandwhatisthesignificanceofstudyingEnglish-Chinesenewstranslation,atthesametimethebasicstructureofthispaperwillbeillustratedinthispart.Thesecondchapteristhetheoreticalframework,whichbrieflyexplainsthewhatarethedefinitionsofnews,newstranslationandSkopostheories.What’smore,themostimportantthreerulesoftheSkoposTheory,whichincludesskoposrule,coherenceruleandfidelityrule,willbeexplainedinthispart.Andtheauthorwillgiveabriefintroductionofthecircumstanceofnewstranslationinourcountry,especiallythecurrentsituationofEnglish-ChinesePoliticalNewsAsforthethirdchapter,thetranslationpracticeundertheguidanceofSkoposTheoryisthebasicpartofthewholetext,includingcomparativeanalysisthroughtheauthor'sactualtranslationandparalleltexts,whiletheNewsTranslationStrategyistheexplanationandrepresentation,andtheevidenceprovidedundertheguidanceofthethreerulesofthefunctionalSkoposTheory.Inthelastpart,theauthorconcludesthatheisatranslator.Thelastchapterexplainstheauthor'slearningandpracticeintheoreticaltranslation,whichmakesherhaveadeeperunderstandingofthetheory.ChapterTwoTheoreticalFrameworkThisthesisisbasedontheGermanFunctionalisttranslationtheory.Asthemaintheoreticalbasis,theSkopostheorycantracebackto1970sinGermany,anditisthecoretheoryofthefunctionaltranslationtheory.TheSkoposTheoryhighlightedthatwemusttakethetextfunctionandtherecipientsofthetranslationintofullconsideration.Andputforwardsthatthetranslatorfreefromthesourcecontextandheorshemustanalyzethetranslationbehaviorfromtheperspectiveoftranslatorandthetargetlanguages.Whendoingtranslationwork,intheguidanceofskopostheory,wecanchosewhichstrategiesormethodshouldbeadoptedafteranalyzingthecontents,structureandpurposeoftheoriginaltext.2.1DefinitionofPoliticalNewsExistingforsuchalongtime,politicalnewshasbeengivendifferentdefinitionsfrommanyexpertsandscholars.AChinesewell-knowndictionaryCiHai,explainsthatcurrentpoliticsmeansthepoliticenvironmentatpresentindomesticorworldwide.AfamousChinesescholarnamedZhangJunchangwroteinhisworkAppliedTelevisionJournalismhestatedthatpoliticalnewsmeanstoreportthoselatestpoliciesandguidelineshappenedincountry-wideandparty-wide,sometimesitalsoinvolvessomeissuesrelatedtointernationalpoliciesandinternationalrelations(ZhangChangchang,1997).AnotherChinesescientistZhangJianpointedoutinBritishNewsthatcurrentpoliticalnewsisanabbreviationofcurrentandpoliticalnews.Tobemorespecific,thecurrentpoliticalnewsreportstheagendaofpoliticalpartiesandtheirpoliticalactivitiesandpolicies.Ofcourse,majorsocialnewsandinternationalnewsarealsore
