Today, Im going to talk about Unit 1 of Module 8, New Standard English, Book 2. My teaching report includes three parts.Part1 Analysis of teaching materialsNo.1 analysis of teac
2、hing contentThis lesson is about position. It tells that Daming is finding his present by reading five letters. By study of this lesson, Ss can master the usage of four prepositions and use them to describe the position of objects in daily life.No.2 analysis of learnersSs in Grade three are very act
3、ive and curious; they enjoy activities, games and performances. They have some abilities of listening and speaking after more than half a year s learning, and these sentences “Whats this? Wheres the .? Its .” have been learnt in last term. Thus, I will use different kinds of teaching methods, and ma
4、ke use of the learned knowledge, and then present the new. Its in accordance with pupils cognitive characteristics and principles of language acquisition.No.3 analysis of teaching aimsAccording to the first grade goal requirements of New Lesson Standard, combining with teaching content and the situa
5、tion of learners, I set teaching aims as below:Aims on knowledge:1. to learn words: on, under, behind, box, toy, bedroom;2. to learn sentences:Its in/on/under/ behind . Aims on abilities1. to enable Ss to use target sentences to describe the position of objects, and use them in daily life.2. to fost
6、er Ss the apply of general abilities of listening, speaking, reading, writing and so on.Aims on emotion1. to foster Ss interests in the topics, to enjoy activities, and stimulate Ss to be interested in English learning.2. to foster Ss consciousness of good co-operation and proper competition.Accordi
7、ng to the teaching content and the learners, combining with teaching aims, I set the key points and difficult pointes as below:Key points:1. to enable Ss to master and use four prepositions.2. To make sure Ss can use target sentences to describe the position of objects.Difficulties points:Ss can des
8、cribe the position of objects correctly.Part 2 Analysis of teaching and learning methods1. Analysis of teaching methodsAccording to the teaching concept of “learner-centre and teacher-leading”, make use of objects and CAI (Computer-Assisted Instruction) to present a series situations, in which can h
9、elp Ss learn new words and the target sentences more easily, and use them to communicate with others. Therefore, I mainly use the following methods: Situational Teaching Method, TPR, Direct Teaching Method, and Games Teaching Method.2. Analysis of Learning MethodsAccording to the pupils physical and
10、 psychological characteristics and New Lesson Standard proposes a learner-centered learning, to stimulate every pupil s interest in learning, and to make all enjoy the activities. Thus, I guide the Ss to use the following learning methods: cooperative learning method and independent learning method.
11、Part 3 Teaching procedures and purposes of my designingThis part is very important, and Ill talk about it in five steps. (Warm-up-presentation-text learning-extension-homework)Step 1 Warm-upIn this step, I will arouse Ss enthusiasm by warmly greetings and playing a game: Simon says: point to the . A
12、nd at the end, show them a picture of cake to lead to the topic, its sbs birthday. Then tell Ss I have a present for him, lets find the present, (where is it? Point to the bag. Is it in the bag? Yes. Its in the bag. ) and then review the word, in. put it on the blackboardPurpose: In this part, leadi
13、ng by the game and real situation, can help Ss be relaxed and active in the class. Ss review the words “in, desk, chair, door” for the next step learning. Step 2 Presentation1. Teach new word: box, toy, on, under, behindAfter warm-up, I will present the new words by the help of doing a series action
14、s. First, show Ss the box, (Oh, look, its a box.) teach new word BOXput the word on the blackboard Then, open the box, and show them the toy monkey, (wow, whats this? Ss: Its monkey. Yes. Its a TOY monkey.) teach new word TOYput the word on the blackboard Then, I put the monkey in the different posi
15、tions of the box and ask (Wheres the monkey?) lead to the new words: on, under, behind. put the word on the blackboard 2. After all new words presented, repeat the new words in different kinds of ways, especially focus on the repositions. Firstly, ask Ss to listen to the word recordings and follow i
16、t; then, repeat the words after the teacher; Then use the word cards to play a game: high and low voice, then repeat them by group competition. At last, repeat the words one by one.3. Then I put the monkey on the box, and say (Wheres the monkey? Its on box.)Put the target sentence on the blackboard
17、have Ss repeat the sentence after me.4. Ask Ss to describe the position of the object by using the target sentences. (Show me your pen and your book, Yes. Now, Please follow me.) For example, put the pen on the book, and say “Its on the box.” Purpose: According to the principles of language acquisit
18、ion, Ss should learn the new from words to sentences. With the help of Direct presentation, Ss can understand the words and sentences more easily. And TPR can enable Ss to enjoy activity in the class and practise the target sentences by using the repositions.6. ChantShow Ss a chant and firstly chant

20、ulate the enthusiasm of each student in learning, but also break through the key points and difficult points.Step 3 Text learning1. Know about the story initially; learn the word “bedroom”.At first, Ss will watch a flash of the text and think of these questions. (Whose birthday is it today? Does he
21、get present? Wheres his present?) After watching the flash, Ss can answer the questions in chinese and then present the new word “bedroom” and teach it.Then, open their books to page 44, Ss will listen to the recordings again and work in pairs to find the five letters,and then some Ss read aloud the
22、 letters to us and I will show the letters on the screen one by one. Ill have Ss understand the meaning of the letter with the help of the pictures.Next I will guide Ss to say the process of finding the present. First, the present is in the box. Then its on your desk. Then, its under your chair. At
23、last, its in your bedroom.Then I will sum up the story “The presents a cake. And Its a surprise for Daming!”Finally, Ss Listen again, point and repeat the text by the recordings.Purpose: Continue the topic of birthday, with the help of CAI, present the text vividly, Ss can understand the text more e
24、asily. By giving tasks, develop Ss self-study ability, and foster consciousness of co-operation. In this way, make sure Ss can understand the text, and consolidate target sentences.Step 4 ExtensionIn this step, I will arrange 3 activities.1. True or false对错判断Have several Ss say the target sentences
25、and teacher will put the thing on the correct or wrong position according to the sentence. All the Ss should make a judgment. If false, some one should correct it. 2. Every second counts/ A race against time争分夺秒Here is a competition by groups. Ask a pair of Ss from one group to come front. One S wil
26、l choose a cards desperately from 3 boxes, and use these words to say the target sentence; the other S will put the object on the position according to the sentence he heard. Then its turn to the next pair. Each pair can get 10 points if they did a good job. The winner will be the group that gets the highest scores in one
