3、mportant words and phrases below words B. know more about the background of the Monkees and some world-famous members of Monkees C. Learn some skills on reading,Emotional objectives: After the class students team spirit will be strengthened through group cooperation while they complete the discussio

In the meanwhile ,the students will know it difficult to achieve success in a short time.,Teaching important points: Get the Ss to learn something about Monkees Teaching difficult points: The history of Monkees and understand the whole passage well.,Teaching methods: listening ,fast reading,
5、 careful reading , teamwork and discussion. Teaching aids: A projector and a computer.,Teaching procedures:,1 .Lead- in a. Enjoy a song and some pictures about some famous band. b. Students read the title and think about “what does the title mean?” 设计意图:导入是一节课的呈现形式,形式需创新直接,旨在点爆学生眼球,激发他们的学习兴趣。,2. Fas
6、t Reading Let the students read the text quickly and match the main idea of each paragraph. (while reading, pay attention to the first or the last sentence of each paragraph) 设计意图:培养学生快速阅读的能力,为下面的细节阅读奠定基础,并为口语环节输入信息进行铺垫。,3.Careful Reading a. Read paragraph 1 carefully and silently and answer the que
7、stion “Why are the names of Song Zuying and Liu Huan mentioned in Para.1 ?” (ask the students to find the key words in order to develop their ability of locating the specific information according to the key words.),b. Para4: The development of The Monkees.,设计意图: 使用表格的形式,是课文内容化繁为简,思路清晰训练学生根据关键词迅速捕捉信息的能力及逻辑思维的能力,培养合作精神并且与导入环节达到首位呼应的效果。,Discussion,Let the students discuss in groups, then answer the questions below. Discussion 1: What does a real band do? 设计意图; 在经过对比之后,学生了解到门基乐队在最开始的时候还不是个真正的乐队,后来才成为一个真正的乐队。因此,可让学生根据所学内容,思考出一个真正乐队到底是什么样的乐队。,Discussion2: The band that wasnt. why? 设计意图:在理解了真正乐队所具备的条件后,再回过头来剖析文章的标题,让学生从语法上先分析,再从含义上分析,Summary,Let the students think about “what did you learn from the text?” 设计意图:通过学生对课文的学习达到一个情感的升华,乐队成员“
