4、nerated by forming regular plurals in English) Syntactic features: noun and it is countable; Common derivatives: childlike, childish, childhood; Common collocations: childs play, child labor, and child psychology. Semantic features: The concept of a human and is neutral regarding gender distinction.

5、 It would contrast with the term child with similar terms for younger humans such as infant and baby and it would also contrast older humans such as adolescent and adult. Pragmatic features you would be able to contrast child with other words with the same meaning for example, kid. .,The contents of

6、 “child”,“To truly know a word means to know both how it differs from and how it is similar to others. Pragmatic information is useful when we try to be sensitive to the appropriateness of the register of our lexical choices. It also helps us in the realm of usage to identify patterns of words that
