1、外贸英语函电,石如璧,课程简介,1.外贸英语函电是必修课,学分3分。 2.importance of this course 随着世界经济一体化及中国加入世界贸易组织 ,我国企业面临的国际竞争越来越残酷 ,为了在竞争中取胜 ,企业需要一批英语运用能力强、外贸业务水平高的复合型人才。在此形势下 ,越来越多的高校纷纷开设若干实用性较强的课程 ,外贸英语函电则是当中最普通的一门。,How to learn this course,1.学习、模仿样式尽管当今外贸函电的格式和语言趋于简单化、口语化,但人们在撰写信函时,仍袭用着一定的格式。因此,首先得学习商业信函的格式,弄清各部分在信中的位置和书写方法,
2、然在撰写信函时,可以直接模仿或套用自己喜欢的一种格式。,在商务信函中,很多的习惯用语和表达方式有很大的借鉴价值,特别是开头用语和结束用语,值得学生学习和仿效。 比如请对方早日答复的常用结束语有: We hope to hear from you soon.We look forward to hearing from you.Your prompt reply is eagerly awaited.We should appreciate your early reply.We look forward to your early reply.Please let us have your r
3、eply at once.,2.归纳、诵记句式由于外贸信函有其独特的语言特征和词汇特征,因此在学习外贸函电时,可以归纳、总结所学过的常用词汇、短语和句型进行分门别类,然后花些时间背诵、记忆所归纳和总结的内容。,(1)我们经营电器。 We handle electric goods.We deal (trade) in electric goods.We are in the business (trade,line)of electric goods.意义大同小异的句型还有:We specialize in electric goods.We exclusively deal in elect

7、2 percent discount when you pay cash.,2.谦恭 Courtesy 撰写商务函电时的恭谦不仅仅意味着礼貌,同时应真挚,机敏,缜密,注重时常表达对阅信者的欣赏与感激。 sincere, tactful and appreciative e.g. You are requested to send me a price list for your T-shirts. 23、you that 6) To fall within the scope of,三、资信咨询 Status Inquiry,当第一次与一家公司打交道并有意与其做生意时,你肯定要了解这家公司。如果一家国外公司,双方相距甚远,很难亲自去进行视察、走访,那么通过信函所作的资信调查就十分重要和必要。 外贸企业为了资金安全或者货物的安全,首先要了解即将交易的对象是否真实存在,还要了解其经营状况、财务状况、信用、声誉、经营方式和范围以及管理能力等。,调查资信的方法有很多,既可以通过与其有业务往来的公司和银行,也可以通过咨询机构和商会等来获取相关信息。 要想从对方银行得到资信证明书,就必须到自己银行,借助于
