2、n smoking and the problems caused by smoking.,2.Methodology,We designed a questionnaire with 5 questions. We used 4 types of questions. They were dichotomous, questions, multiple choice, scale and open questions. We surveyed 30 students from Taiyuan University of Technology . There were nine female

3、and 21 males, and their ages were from 21 to 24.,3. Findings,3.1 Do you smoke?,Findings：,Most males like to smoke. The female dont like smoking. Smoking is very popular for young men. About 75% of young men smoke.,Findings：,3.2 What kinds of diseases are caused of smoking?,We asked students what dis

4、ease they thought was caused by smoking Most students think pneumonia is which kind of diseases caused by smoking. Only two students think the cancer is caused by smoking.,Findings：,3.3 How many cigarette do you smoke everyday?,From the graph, we know that almost 60% of the people we surveyed smoke

5、less than 5 cigarettes everyday or dont smoke at all. About 30% of people smoke six to 10 cigarettes everyday. Only three poeple smoke more than 10 cigarettes everyday which just occupies 10% of total.,3.4 When did you start smoking?,From this graph, we find that about 50% boys started smoking in se

6、nior high school, just under 50% boys started at university. Another boys are no smoking. Most of girls are no smoking.,3.5 Why do you smoke?,People dont smoke because they knew smoking is not good for their health, and nobody likes the others smoking. Now, smoking is not allowed in the public place

7、 in China. People who smoke said that smoking can help them be relax when you were thinking or have a problem. A few people think that smoking is a cool thing, so they leant.,3.6 Why dont girls smoke?,We did a survey among 10 girls about why they dont smoke. And this chart shows us the answer. They

8、have three different views on smoking. Three of them thought smoking is harmful for health and it would hurt their skin. Five of them dont like smoking and not be interested in smoking at all. The last two girls, they thought smoking is wasting money.,Conclusion:,Based on the investigation about 30 students, we found that most males are some in our school. Most student think pneumonic is caused by smoking and only two thought smoking cause lung cancer. Students need more information about smoking and cancer.
