(3) There used to be a green area in front of my house. 句型“Shanghai used to be a small village.”，学生很容易理解 used to 的含义和用法。语法知识的归纳 1. used to 的用法 （1）used to 后面接动词原形，表示过去习惯做的动作或经常出现的

7、状态，常常用来对比过去 和现在，说明过去的这个动作或状态现在已不再继续或存在了。 （2）used to 的否定式和疑问式都各有两种形式。如： 否定形式： He didnt use to He used not to 疑问式： 回答形式： Did you use to ? Yes (No), I did (didnt). Used you to ? Yes (No), I used to (usednt to ) 2. used to 和 be used to 的结构区别 （1）used to 表示“过去常常做某事”而现在已不做了，其中“to”是不定式标志，后跟动词 原形。 （2）be used
