文档简介

、ICS and safety system,CONTENT,Details of the scope,A) DP/ICS system topology DPS-0, -1, -2, or -3 indicates that a vessel, self-propelled or non-self-propelled, is fitted with a dynamic positioning system. The numerals (-0, -1, -2 or -3) indicates the degree of redundancy in the dynamic positioning

、system.,Integrated Automation System (IAS) Integrating all the functions for monitoring and control of a vessel provides a real benefit both technically and economically. Functions can be integrated in order to reduce the overall need for hardware and software functions and to reduce interfacing req

、uirements. Most features include:,DP Control The DP control system is to keep the vessel within specified position and heading limits, and to minimize fuel consumption and wear and tear on the propulsion equipment. In addition, the system tolerates transient errors in the measurement systems and act

、s appropriately if a fault occurs in the thruster units.,Marine Automation Marine Automation is a distributed vessel automation and control system covering functions such as: Power management Alarm system Machinery monitoring and alarm system Auxiliary monitoring and control Ballast monitoring and c

、ontrol Cargo monitoring and control Vessel-wide mode control,Thruster Control The thruster control system monitors and controls the vessels propulsion and thruster system. The system includes the following functions: Individual control of propulsion/thruster units Joystick control Station-keeping Mo

、nitoring and control of propulsion/thruster prime power units Monitoring and control of propulsion/thruster auxiliary units Emergency stop of propulsion/thruster units,The topology of DP (taking example from KM):-,Class requirement on the configuration of environment sensor and position ref systems,

、DP/ICS Integrated System (DP22),Schahin Project topology of ICS,B) DP relevant dwg i.e. hipap, k-chief system, k-thruster, dp sys,C) ICS I/O Lists,I/O list is to collect all the info. of input/output between field equipments/systems and PLC system, which usually includes alarm inputs, system status

、inputs, i.e. system temp, pressure, flow rate, level, current, speed, position etc, remote control outputs, together with FDS (Functional Design Specification) of system in the vessel, the I/O list is the main documentation used for the PLC programming for the integrated control system of the vessel

、.,D) ICS block and wiring diagram, arrgt,ICS block and wiring diagram is showing how the integrated system is physically connected between PLC system and field equipments, systems, which will be used for production to install, connect cables.,E) F&G system,Fire detection: An automatic fire alarm sys

、tem is designed to detect the unwanted presence of fire by monitoring environmental changes associated with combustion. In general, a fire alarm system is either classified as automatic, manually activated, or both. Automatic fire alarm systems can be used to notify people to evacuate in the event o

、f a fire or other emergency, to summon emergency forces aid, and to prepare the structure and associated systems to control the spread of fire and smoke.,System configuration: Fire detection control panel: This component, the hub of the system monitors inputs and system integrity, control outputs an

、d relays information Power supply: Primary power supply: In normal applications, a branch circuit is dedicated to the fire alarm system and its constituents. Secondary (back up) power supply: This component commonly sealed, lead-acid storage batteries or other emergency sources including generators,

、 is used to supply energy in the event of a primary power failure.,3. Initiating Devices: This component acts as input to the fire alarm control unit and are either manually or automatically activated, which usually includes manually call point, fire detectors, release of extinguishing agents, water

、 flow detector and also the newest innovation of cameras. 4: Notification appliances: This component uses energy supplied from the fire alarm system or other stored energy source, to inform the proximate persons of the need to take action, usually to evacuate.,5: Safety interfaces: This interface al

、lows the fire alarm system to control aspects of the vessel safety system i.e. water sprinkler, water mist, PA/GA (public address and general alarm system), VDR (voyage data recorder) etc so that relevant systems can be employed or activated immediately once fire happens.,Gas detection system: The m

、ain harmful gases occurs on the rig (usually refers to MODU) are combustible Hydro-carbon gas and toxic Hydrogen Sulphide (H2S) gas The primary purpose of the gas detection system is to detect potentially hazardous accumulations of gas so that actions may be taken to minimize the consequences. These

、 actions shall include alarms, electrical isolations and shutdown of ventilation systems. The gas detection system shall monitor all parts of the installation Defined Hazardous areas, where gas detectors can be practically positioned, to ensure immediate gas presence, ascertain gas migration and to

、monitor where potentially hazardous accumulations may occur.,Fixed automatic combustible gas detection and alarm systems are usually to be provided for the following areas: i) Cellar deck ii) Drill floor iii) Mud pit area iv) Shale shaker area v) Enclosed spaces containing open components of the mud

、 circulation system from the bell nipple to the mud pits.,F) Tank Gauging system, ballast/bilge control,Many liquids, like gasoline, ballast water are stored in large tanks where the volume of the liquid in the tank cannot be observed directly. The system is used for level gauging in ballast and ser

、vice tanks.,New developments in the area of liquid volume measurements have been ultrasonic transmitter, radar transmitter or pressure transmitter, which can be interfaced to an Integrated Automation System or operate as a stand-alone system.,Tank Radar Level Gauge,Hydrostatic pressure transmitter,L

、evel measurement and automatic valve control (bilge, ballast system) Functions realized by the system: remote control of valves and signaling of their position measurement and signaling of a level in ballast and fuel tanks low level signaling in fuel tanks high level signaling in bilge wells of engi

、ne room and holds Level measurements are realized by means of pressure converters mounted in ballast and fuel tanks as mentioned previously. The converters convent a pressure signal into the standard 4 - 20 mA signal which may be transferred (depending on needs) to level indicators of ballast and fue

、l tanks and bilge wells mounted in control consoles or to monitoring systems, what enables reading out on the monitors.,G) Emergency shutdown/stop,1 Emergency Stop 1.1 Ventilation System 1.1(a) General. All electrical ventilation systems are to be provided with means for stopping the motors in case

、of fire or other emergency. 1.1(b) Machinery Space Ventilation. The main machinery-space ventilation is to be provided with means for stopping the ventilation fans, which is to be located in the passageway leading to, but outside of the space, or in the fire-fighting station, if provided. 1.1(c) Ventilation Other Than Machinery Space. A control station for all other ventilation systems is to be located in the fire-control room or navigation bridge, or in an accessible position leading to, but outside of the space ventilated. 1.
