The steam utility system has been designed to optimize the use of steam supply capabilities. The steam system in this plant may be broken down into seven (7) sub-syste

2、ms according to their nominal operating pressures: S40 system S15 system S10 system S4 system S1.4 system S1 system S0.6 system.NOTE: This is for Training only, and is not intended to be used as a step by step procedure.PO/MTBES40 Steam System OverviewThe S40 steam system supplies steam to the Propy

3、lene Refrigerant Turbine and is let down to the S15 steam system for use in process equipment and other turbines.S15 Steam System OverviewThe S15 steam is supplied from extraction from turbines.S15 steam is used in several reboilers and heaters within the Plant. There is also some S15 steam injected

4、 into the process in the catalyst preparation area.S10 Steam System OverviewThe S10 steam is supplied fromS15 let down and OSBL to the Plant and is used in several reboilers and heaters within the Plant.S4 Steam System OverviewThe S4 steam is supplied from turbine exhaust and from flashing of S10 an

5、d S15 condensate. Excess S4 steam is vented. S4 steam is let down into the S1.4 and S1 steam headers based on pressure control on the lower pressure headers. S4 utility steam is also piped to all vessels for steam out purposes.S1.4 Steam System OverviewS1.4 steam is generated in the Alcohol Recycle

6、Column Condensers. The pressure in the S1.4 steam system is controlled by letting down from the S4 steam system and letting down to the S1 steam system.S1.4 steam is used in several reboilers and heaters in the Plant.S1 Steam System OverviewS1 steam is generated in the Peroxidation reactors and Epox

7、idation reactors/intercoolers. Steam generation in the Peroxidation reactors and Epoxidation reactors/intercoolers can be switched between S1 and S0.6 steam. Up to 27,500 kg/h of S1 steam can be supplied from letdown from the S4 steam header. The S1 steam header also receives excess S1.4 steam from the S1 header and from S1 steam condensate separator. A large quantity of S1 steam is generated by the process.S0.6 Steam System OverviewThe S0.6 steam header is supplied by the S1 to S0.6 steam letdown station, generated by S1 steam from Epoxidati
