The Buchanans and Jordan Baker live luxurious(奢靡的) lives, contrasting sharply in sensibility and luxury with Nicks more modest and grounded lifestyle. When Nick returns home tha

20、of Myrtles secret life although he does not know who the man is and it has made him sick. Wilson announces his plans to take Myrtle out West, much to Toms distress.
