外文翻译1外文翻译学生姓名学院名称机电工程学院专业名称机械设计制造及其自动化指导教师外文翻译2AnexperimentalstudyontheoptimizationofcontrollergainsforanelectrohydraulicservosystemusingevolutionstrategiesMinYoungKim,ChungOhLeeDepartmentofMechanicalEngineering,KoreaAdvancedInstituteofScienceandTechnologyAbstractThispaperdealswithanexperimentaloptimizationproblemofthecontrollergainsforanelectrohydraulicpositioncontrolsystemthroughevolutionstrategiesESsbasedmethod.Theoptimalcontrollergainsforthecontrolsystemareobtainedbymaximizingfitnessfunctiondesignedspeciallytoevaluatethesystemperformance.Inthispaper,foranelectrohydraulicpositioncontrolsystemwhichwouldrepresentahydraulicmillstandfortherollgapcontrolinplatehotrollings,thetimedelaycontrollerTDCisdesigned,andthreecontrolparametersofthiscontrolleraredirectlyoptimizedthroughaseriesofexperimentsusingthismethod.Itisshownthatthenearoptimalvalueofthecontrollergainsisobtainedinabout5thgeneration,whichcorrespondstoapproximately150experiments.Theoptimalcontrollergainsareexperimentallyconfirmedbyinspectingthefitnessfunctiontopologiesthatrepresentsystemperformanceinthegainspaces.ItisfoundthattherearesomelocaloptimumsonafitnessfunctiontopologysothattheoptimizationofthethreecontrolparametersofaTDCbymanualtuningcouldbeataskofgreatdifficulty.TheoptimizedresultsviatheEScoincidewiththemaximumpeakpointinopologies.Itisalsoshownthattheproposedmethodisanefficientschemegivingeconomyoftimeandlaborinoptimizingthecontrollergainsoffluidpowersystemsexperimentally.KeywordsControllergainoptimizationEvolutionstrategiesTimedelaycontrolAutomaticcontrollergainsearchElectrohydraulicservosystem1.IntroductionRecently,theresearchontheoptimizationandadaptationofcontrollergainsorparametersforimprovingthesystemperformanceinhydraulicandpneumaticservosystemshasbeenafieldofincreasinginterestFlemingPurshouse,2002Klein,1992Jeon,Lee,Hong,1998HyunLee,1998Choi,Lee,Cho,2000.Ingeneral,whencontrolengineersdesigncontrollerforhydraulicorpneumaticservosystems,itisverydifficulttodeterminetheoreticallyitscontrolgainstoexhibitthebestperformanceofthesystems,becausetheaccuratemodelingforthese外文翻译3systemsishardduetohighlynonlinearcharacteristicsofthefluidpowersystems.Tobemorespecific,thehydraulicandpneumaticservosystemsalreadyhavearelativelyhigherdegreeofnonlinearitythanothermechatronicsystemslikeDCorACservosystems.ItresultsfromvariousfactorsMerrit,1976Watton,1989thepressureflowcharacteristicsofvalve,thesaturationofvalveandcylinder,theleakageflowcharacteristicsofvalveandcylinderwithvariationofsupplypressure,thefrictioncharacteristicincylinder,thevariationofviscosityandcompressibilityofworkingfluidwiththetemperature,theflowcharacteristicduetotheshapeofpipeline,andmostimportantly,thevariationofthesystemgainswiththesupplypressureandtheloadpressure.Therefore,whenthesefluidpowersystemsarecontrolled,thecontrollergainsareadjustedonthefoundationofexpertsintuitiveknowledgeaboutthesystemandthetuningexperienceofthecontrollergainsingeneral.Itneedsveryexcessiveexperimentsthroughtrialanderror.Butthoughsomecontrollergainsareobtained,itishardtosaythattheresultsarethebestgainsetatagivensituation.Fortheautomaticadjustmentofthecontrollergainsinfluidpowersystems,theresearchtoapplicationofafuzzygainadapterFGAhasbeenperformedJeon,1997Klein,1992.Inthiscase,theknowledgebaseisneededfortransplantationoftheexpertknowledgetothesystems,andsomegeneralrulestovariationofthesystemresponseduetovariationofthecontrollergainsaredemandedfortheconstructionofthisknowledgebase.Therefore,muchexpertsexperiencesandmanyexperimentsarenecessaryfortheimplementationofthisalgorithm.Inthisstudy,evolutionstrategiesESsisproposedasamethodoftheautomaticoptimizationofthecontrollergainsinaelectrohydraulicsystem.ESisoneoftheevolutionaryalgorithmsbasedonthenaturalgeneticsandthesurvivalofthefittestRechenberg,1973Schwefel,1981BackSchwefel,1994,1996.Whenanappropriatefitnessfunctionrepresentingpotentialsolutionsisgivenassurvivabilityofcandidates,thetuningproblemofcontrollergainscanbeconsideredasanoptimizationproblem,sothatanoptimalcontrollergainsetissearchedintheregionofgainspacesspecifiedbyoperator.Amajoradvantageisthatmuchexperienceonthegaintuningforthecontrolsystemisnotrequired,andtheleastinformationforthesystemisjustrequired.Especially,incasesthatarealexperimentalsystemisdirectlyusedforevaluatingcandidates,ESsaremoresuitablethanotherevolutionalgorithmsduetoitsowncharacteristiccalledselfadaptation.Inthisstudy,atimedelaycontrollerTDCisdesignedasacontrollerforpositioncontrolofanelectrohydraulicservosystem.Thecontrollerdesignedtohave2ndordererrordynamicshasthreecontrollergainsimplicitly.ByusinganESasoptimizationalgorithms,theoptimalcontrollergainsetinthespecifiedgainspacesisdeterminedthroughonlineexperiments.Fortheverificationoftheobtainedresults,thefitnessfunctiontopologiesinthegainspaces外文翻译4experimentallyaremadeout,andanalyzed.Finally,theexperimentalresultssearchedthroughESsareshowntocoincidewiththeoptimalpeakpointthathasbestfitnessvalueonthespecifiedgainspaces.2.Hydraulicservosystem2.1.ElectrohydraulicpositioncontrolsystemF
