文档简介

Module 4 Unit 1,Using language, translation, workbook,By chance I came across an article about Lin Qiaozhi, a specialist (special) in womens diseases. It seemed that she had been (be) very busy in her chosen(choose) career, traveling (travel) abroad to study as well as writing books and articles. A small book explaining how to cut the death rate from having and caring for babies caught my eye. I realized that the book was intended for women in the countryside at that time. Fearing (fear) the prisoners would attack her, the prison officers didnt want to let her visit the women (woman) prisoners. She realized that the prisoners behaved badly (bad) because they were being treated (treat) like animals. Their children born (bear) in prison had to stay there and had no chance of an education. So Elizabeth provided food, clean clothes and straw for beds, began a prison school for the children and taught the women to make a little money for themselves .,Of course she did not do all the work on her own. Other Quaker women helped her and went around the country raising (raise) money for her work. Some people did not like her ideas and said she should spend more time with her family. Other people said she enjoyed being (be) famous too much. However , her husband supported and encouraged her, so she
