unit 2 standard english and dialects黄燕珍教学设计1. 课型:extensive reading (泛读课)2. 教学内容:unit2 standard english and dialects3. 教材分析:本节课属于泛读课,教师将通过三个环节的阅读教学,让学生掌握基本的泛读技巧。整节课分为6个步骤:第一步:承上启下,用学生在本单元的warming up ,reading 以及语法专题(把command 或 request 的句子改为间接引语)学到的内容,通过游戏的方式自然引入到本节课的教学内容。第二步:让学生通过skim , scan 和detailed reading 三个层次的阅读掌握课文的内容第三步:配合单元的话题,让学生讨论why do we learn putonghua ?及should we learn english well?在学生讨论后,教师利用自己的语言优势,以情景游戏的形式加以说明,达到情感教育目标,既鼓励学生在日常生活中讲普通话和英语,并努力把英语学好。第四步:让学生完成一篇根据课文改编的语法填空,在语篇中检查学生对课文的掌握情况,巩固知识,并让学生齐读一遍。第五步:引导学生归纳本节课所学知识第六步:作业的设计及布置。根据本课的重点词汇及句型,教师设计了完成句子的练习,让学生学以致用。4. 教学策略:1) 教学方法:让学生通过独立思考、合作学习、小组讨论、师生互动的方式,尝试让学生在轻松的氛围中获取知识,运用知识,从而促进学生良好的学习习惯和学习策略的形成,进而提高学生的英语水平。采用任务型的教学途径,让学生通过体验、实践、合作交流的学习方式,感受实现任务目标的快乐和成功。2) 教学辅助手段使用多媒体辅助教学,制作powerpoint课件来显示整个教学流程,力求使教学活动生动、直观,做到即能激发学生的学习兴趣,又能提高教学效果。3) 课前准备工作:认真研究教材,明确教学内容的重难点;制作课件:编写所需的教案。unit 2 standard english and dialectsteaching aims:1. to improve the students reading ability2. to learn about the standard english and dialects 3. to master usages of the words and phrases: standard , no such as , play a part in 4. to enable the students to try to use standard english and putonghua in their daily lifeteaching important points:1. to learn what standard english and dialects are2 . to improve the students reading ability3. words and expressions :standard ,play a part inteaching difficult point: to develop the students reading ability by extensive readingteaching methods:task-based teaching and learningcooperative learningdiscussionteaching procedures:step 1 organizationsstep 2 revision and lead-ina game :the teacher acts as a .get two students to act as b and c . a gives a command to b ,but b can not catch it, so c has to tell c what to do .a : please tell me something about the english language ?b : what did our english teacher say ?c : she asked you to tell her something about the english language .b : ok . 教师引出标题suggested explanations:standard adj. 标准的 n . 标准 规格meet standard 符合标准the standard of living/ the living standard 生活标准on a standard 根据某一标准step 3 reading 1. skimmingskim and answer the following questions:1) what is standard english ?2 )what is called a dialect ?2 .scanningscan and underline the topic sentence of each paragraph .para. 1: there is no such thing as standard english.suggested explanations:no such person/ thing as sb./sth. 没有这样的人/物等, 用于表示某人或某物并不存在。如:e.g. 世上没有免费的午餐之类的好事。there is no such thing as a free lunch in the world.para. 2: english has many dialects whose words and expressions are different from “standard english”.para. 3: geography plays a part in making dialects.suggested explanations: play a/an +adj.+ part/role in 扮演角色, 起作用 a leading/starring role 主角e.g. a. she played a leading part in the play.她在这部戏剧中扮演主角。b. his parents played a part in his success.他的成功有他父母的因素在内。3. detailed reading read the text carefully and judge whether the following statements are true or false .(1) many people believe the english spoken on tv and the radio is standard english .( t )(2) on tv and the radio people speak english in the same way .
