Yet, it doesnt necessarily mean that you have to get all in your speech. wIn the course, we are going to cover most of them one by one and see how we can make good use of them. 1.Informative speech wYou will select a topic for a 3-minute speech that explains how to do something or describes an idea, process, concept, etc. You will also answer two questions from other students. Section One: How to prepare and present a speech wIn this class, you will learn to become a better speaker. Well work on delivery , using solid supporting arguments, being persuasive, and many other things. How to prepare and present a speech wThe speeches you will give in this class include an informative speech, and a persuasive speech. Step 2: Make a thesis The definition: A thesis is a concise and complete statement which consists of the main idea of your speech. Step 2: Make a thesis What makes a good thesis? w1. Meets the speechs requirements that is, use an informative thesis for an informative speech. Miss Lin wFirst, 37 million people lack health insurance and Medicare and Medicaid offer little assistance. Second, people without insurance suffer from poor health because they cannot get access to health care. Infants die unnecessarily because their mothers cannot afford prenatal care. Adults suffer from tuberculosis, heart attacks and other diseases because they do not have access to the system. And the elderly cannot get needed long-term care because they do not have the money. Our health system needs help. Miss Wang wBecause it is. Ive got insurance-who cares about other people. Doctors can prescribe drugs anyway. They do cost a lot but doctors are expensive. There are many hospitals and many people who want medical care. I think doctors and nurses do a good job. Our insurance system is fine. How to find solid points: w1.Think about things you associate with the topic and group them into main areas. w2. If you dont know much about your topic, do your research. w3.
