learning methods, english speeches can also be an active player in english learning process. scholars and professors are working academically on the speech aided english learning approach. in the near future, english speeches might be another main learning skill. this paper shares with its readers some information about english speeches, makes several comparisons with other english learning skills and illustrates how it brings impacts upon english learning, and the author of the paper hopes that with the help of the speech-aided english learning approach, learning efficiency for english as a linguistic carrier. and, as the first foreign language in china, english enjoys a highly acclaimed reputation and boasts a long history. the english speech-aided learning method, which serves as a new and developing language learning method, is gradually prevailing. an english speech can be divided into several types: narrative speech, ceremonial speech, informative speech and persuasive speech. as far as im concerned, ceremonial speech, informative speech and persuasive speech are most widely seen all over the world. as a matter of fact, politicians and chiefs of states are the major public speakers. in order to advocate ideas and policies and appeal to more supporters, speeches can be fully and widely utilized to the greatest extent in western countries. moreover, english-speaking countries are top examples. from time to time, leaders have made numerous speeches to his countrymen and even to the whole world. and, thanks to the status of english as one of the official languages in the un., english speeches work perfectly and extensively at speakers will. ii.the impacts of english speechas one of the english learning methods, english speech-aided learning method brings a lot of impacts on english learning, and almost every petite part of the world is influenced.2.1. english speeches are beneficial to english learningas it is mentioned, english speeches have been the routine of such traditional english speaking countries as great britain and the united states. at the same time, english learners regard imitation as a useful way and they discover that english speeches are quite useful to them. then the speech started to have its place. besides english news broadcasting, tv programs, passages, movies, speeches seem quite new and special to learners. in speeches, several same points might be found in other media. however, the speech is more serious, vivid and edifying. it is these unique advantages of english speeches that arouse learners passion.2.2. some impacts of english speeches on english learning through study and analysis, several impacts on english learning can be found in speeches.2.2.1. pronunciationmake an english speech or just listen to it. a standard pronunciation is a basic requirement. that can guarantee everything you speak can be understandable. a sound conversation also works like that, doesnt it? therefore, to practice reading or imitating a speech repeatedly can help correct your own english speaking mistakes. just like the radio and tapes, listening to an english speech will be helpful to english learners. thorough and permanent imitating practice and listening can help wipe out most weaknesses and flaws on your poor english speaking. unwittingly, you surely see the progress and may find that candidates show their performances on the stage, there is so much to learn. manners can be equally important as pronunciation. and gestures, appearance, attitudes even the speaking speed can tell important principle should be acquired that sound behaviour and elegant appearance serve language learning well. to live up to the expectation, permanent observation needs to be taken as a must even a few minutes speech needs a full preparation, let alone the recitation. before the speech release, memorizing is the foundation of the whole plan, yet a slight mistake can ruin the work. being a turn out to be the best.2.2.4. logical thinking a great public speaker can be definitely a wise man. also a fantastic speech lies in rational thinking, well-established logic, coherence and carefulness. you might be an average and plain speaker in public. yet a long-standing speech practice can possibly turn you into an attractive speech maker. a rational speaker would open up his charm before audiences eyes by a coherent speech, an attractive tone and elegant manners. all these make a perfect speaker. poor english learners can turn to that for solution to their problems. only wise linguistic and literal foundation. without any essence of language and literature, splendor can hardly be seen throughout the whole speech. to accomplish a perfect speech is also a process in which you establish your own literal foundation. to imitate and deliver numerous speeches is some kind of accumulation of the goodness of english language. the more speeches you make, the more speeches you imitate, the more advantages and linguistic progress you will achieve. like memory improvement, accumulation follows as speech practice is approaching forward. you wont suffer any loss during english learning.2.2.6. variation of ideas this is the nature of speech. what is a speech made for? it is just to publicize speakers ideas, to persuade and finally to change audiences views. a touching and inspiring english speech might turn thousands of millions of people different. just like the past famous politicians, you may learn the english skill through listening to those well-known speeches. however, a greater change would follow up such practice, your outlooks and values might secondarily be controlled of renewed. you will soon realize how excellent a speech may become. a speech is merely a tool for value publicity. as a matter of fact, an english speech is not the only way to work for policy delivery. however, speeches can rank top because of its encouraging and attractive material as well as the speakers charm. nowadays, english learners are increasingly listening to and reciting western famous inspiring speeches. it can be quite overwhelming that all western values are all crammed into learners mind and it is preceding without much censorship and judgment.iii.the advantages and disadvantages of english speech-aided learning method and other learning methods you might find out dozens of english learning methods like radio listening, tapes, tv programs, books, recitals and conversations. each of them has its strengths and flaws. therefore, advantages and disadvantages can be seen when they are compared with each other.3.1. radio generally speaking, live radio shows are usually fixed forms, especially the serious radio programmes. they restrict learners from traveling around. the radio can be of more selection, yet the prerequisite is a portable machine or an environment in which you can receive the radio programmes. however, speech practice is more flexible, even though we could seldom appreciate a live speech of free self-speech practice. speech material reading or recitation can be easily fulfilled. in all, a speech recital is more practical than radio reception.3.2. tv similarly, tv programmes restrict learners more. a tv set is less portable than a radio receptor. and it costs more. the largest advantage is you can appreciate the programme merely by listening but not watching. however, you may lose fun when tv performance is broadcast, in that case, tv programme reception can be no difference from radio listening. whats worse, tv programme is less informative than radio. consequently, a speech is more worthy and more affordable.3.3. movies as for movie viewing, recorded movies and cinema shows are more likely to be referred to. it takes up nearly two hours every time you learn. the only advantage is that you may be entertained when appreciating and more fun you may get. a speech, as is mentioned, is omnipresent and more common to global english learners.3.4. books speeches, to some extent, are the closest to book reading because book reading covers speech learning. you can hardly tell the clear difference between them. they share almost the same carrier, paper. yet the slight distinction is still detected. books are of more content and types while speeches are relatively boring. thats the reason why books are still prevailing out of diversity. books never seem to vanish from the world despite the bloom of the internet. whats more, general book reading is also portable. even a simple story from any novel can knock down speeches without any difficulty. probably, it is the unique form which overtakes a speech.3.5. recitala recital is quite similar to a speech reading. the recitation is required for both when they are conducted. the whole preparation is almost connected with material selection. but, a recital only needs fixed material while speech covers active thinking. a speech is more complex than the former form. people might prefer their own favourite. they both turn learners well behaved.3.6. conversation as far as im concerned, conversation is the best for english learners because manners, thinking, interaction are all involved and several fields are applied. all in all, they cant not be simply analyzed. more elements still remain unfound. a speech requires preparation. conversation is more likely an impromptu job. conversation has a longer history. you cant tell the clear disadvantage from each of them. hence, conversation, speech and book reading probably dominate the english learning, no one can easily explore even discover a brand new field. still. linguists are happier to see the future of foreign language.iv.practice and application of english speeches4.1. english speech-oriented practice and its principles to improve and develop the english learning methods, new skills are supposed to explore. english speech brings impacts on english learning and it is essential. so an english speech-oriented practice is introduced. meanwhile, several following practice principles are also presented. 4.1.1. encouragement language learning is a life-long process, let alone the practice. in the course of practice and application, setbacks are unavoidable. for the sake of the character of english speech practice, professors are supposed to support students, to encourage them and be more patient with the practice. interaction is needed among professors and students. besides, each should be well-prepared in case of potential difficulties. as students, they have to stay positive and active, motivation, persistence and optimism can help promote them approach further.4.1.2. student-oriented principle english speech practice is a compulsory course. the functions of professors are to impart elementary techniques, lectures and make comments. and most of the time spent is assigned for students speech imitation and practice. what should be emphasized is students practices can not be replaced by professors. only through multilayer, multiform repeatedly imitation, learning and practices can students skills be consolidated and improved. consequently, english speech lectures should be focused on students.4.1.3. combination of chinese speeches and english speeches by their very natures, they have few differences. they are a kind of activity by vocal language, silent language and other artistic expressions, it influences and inspires audiences by the means of view delivery and finally for the sake of realizing communication exchange. however, a collection of differences exist out of different language carriers, cultural backgrounds and thinking patterns. the speech layout, rhythm and gesture can be different from each other. taking all this into account, professors may draw on the experience of chinese successful speech makers, yet it can not be cribbed without any judgment. moreover, professors should be aware of english speech characteristics, carry out careful absorption then create proper features.4.2. several forms of english speech lectures when the aims to english speech lecture material and learning method foundations are fully taken into account, we may adopt several forms when conducting specific teaching.4.2.1. observation the aim of observation is to wipe out students linguistic and mental dissension, but
