Whats this? 这是什么? Its a desk. 它是一张书桌。 What的意思是“什么,什么事情”,放在句首,用来构成特殊疑问句,询问事物。this 的意思是“这,这个”,是指示代词,指处于说话者近处的单个事物。而it是人称代词,指代上文出现的单数的事物,在这里用来指代上文出现的this。如: Whats this? 这是什么?
