文档简介

Learn to Walk before You Can RunGood evening,My dear Teachers, fellow students and friends , I am very happy to stand here and have this opportunity to share something with you . Today I will focus on Learn to Walk before You Can Run. There is a saying called “learn to walk before you can run”.I agree with it and believe that its true As we all know,we learn to walk first and then know how to run.Its natural to us.In like wise,we should also do things from easy to difficult. If we learn to run before we can walk, its definitely that we will fall to ground. As the saying goes: Rome wasnt built in a day. There is no shortcut on the way of study. We must learn from the basis. Its just like climbing a mountain. No matter how tall the mountain is,we should start from the foot of the it,step by step, and in the end,we will reach the mountaintop. In our learning process,we should set a goal.On the way we achieve it,we should also have a step at each time. When we mount a step,we will be closer to our goal.Hang on this and you will reach your goal finally. However, people say that, in todays rapidly-developing society, life is like a race. The whole world is moving so fast, and theres hardly any time to walk anymore, and the ones that run the fastest are supposed to be the one who grow the biggest, and get the best treat. But, the ones that run the fastest are also the ones that might take the biggest tumbles. Supporting this, the famous scholar LaoZi said, a journey of a thousand miles begins with the single step. Yes, everything has its time and takes time to become mature. Just as a small tree need its fixed time to absorb minerals and other nutrients from soil before it grow into a big tree, furthermore, the increase of abilities and knowledge also takes time. History is abounded with examples proving the above. It would have been impossible for Shakespeare to write beautiful poetry before learning basic writing skills. And, it would have also been impossible for Archimides to be bold enough to say, “Give me a level and a spot, I can move the earth” before commanding a solid knowledge of astronomy, physics and mathematics. Thus, life is not a race, but a gradual journey to be enjoyed slowly each step of the way. My friend, each of us wants to be successful and each of us is moving forward towards our goals, some are walking, and some are running. Although we run at a different speed, one thing is same for us, that is, life is like a piece of field which covered by newly fallen snow, each st
