Lesson 43What Makes You Unique?【教学目标】1能够掌握课标要求的“四会”词汇:suppose,ourselves,person,personal,sense2了解如何介绍自己的个人特点。3了解如何询问对方的个人特点及其回答方法。4初步了解宾语补足语的用法。【教学重难点】1掌握一些与自我评价有关的词汇:describe,myself,think,suppose2激发学生兴趣,让学生运用所学知识介绍自己的个人特点。3掌握以下重点句子:We are supposed to describe ourselves in a report.What do you like about yourself?What makes you unique?What are you proud of?【课前准备】录音机、幻灯片、图片教学过程设计一、创设情境,切入主题Step 1LeadinLead in by discussing the following questions:Are you proud of yourself?What are you good at?What makes you different from others?Discuss the questions in groups.The teacher shows some pictures about different persons.Ask the students to talk for three minutes.Then let them present the answers in class.二、展开过程,探究新知Step 2ListeningListen to the tape and answer the questions:What does Li Ming want to get from Jenny?How does Li Ming like the report?What does Jenny tell Li Ming to write about?Finish the task in class in oral.Step 3ReadingRead the dialogue and decide if the statements are true or false.Li Ming needs to describe himself in a report.Li Ming has a lot of friends.Jenny thinks wring special talents and personal strengths are too hard.Finish the task in class in oral.Step 4Activities1.Introduce your personal strengths.What do you do well in?How do you do with it?Make a dialogue between three or four students.Then present it in front of the class.2.Work with your partner.Write a letter to each other to introduce your talents.Step 5Write a short noteSuppose you are going to introduce your talent and strength.Write a short note.Remember to tell something about your talent and strength.Practice for a while.Then let some students read their notes in front of the class.Step 6Come to “Lets Do It!”Read the passage and finish off Exercise 1.Listen to the tape and finish off Exercise 2.Work with your partners.Act out the dialogue.Suppose you and your partner are Li Ming and Jenny.Practice for a while.Then ask some students to present their dialogues in front of the class.三、布置作业Finish off Exercise 3 in “Lets Do It!”.【板书设计】Lesson 43What Makes You Unique?suppose,ourselves,person,personal,senseWe are suppose
