Module 8 Sports lifeStep 1Warm up教师通过多媒体出示姚明参加篮球比赛、刘翔参加跨栏比赛的画面,让学生就图片内容进行谈论,导入话题。1. When and where was Yao Ming born?2. How tall is he?3. What did he do in 1998, in 2000 and in 2005?4. How many points did he score in his first game in NBA?Step 2Present (Activity 1)Look at the picture and describe it. Ask students to describe what they can see and talk about what they think is happening.Step 3Listen (Activity 2)听力抢答:动中取静,让学生从Activity 1的讨论中走出,静静地听相关话题的听力材料,完成句子填空,注意听前读题。Step 4Listen and read (Activities 3, 4, 5) Activity 3的听力强化训练详见素材四Tell students they will listen to Tony, Lingling and Betty talking about Tonys basketball team. Ask them to listen to the questions that Betty and Lingling ask and write their answers down. (听力录音播放两遍)教师可以出示对话中出现的8个问题:1. Who are you playing against?2. What does HAS stand for?3. Didnt they beat you last time?4. What was the score?5. When is the match?6. Do you think theyll win, Lingling?7. How many matches have you played against HAS this year?,8. And how many have HAS won? Check the answers to the questions above.With the conversation covered, students try to complete the table from memory first, and then read the conversation to check the information. Activity 4: Ask students to read the sentences and complete them from memory. And then check the answers by reading the conversation again. Activity 5: Tell students to read the words in the box and check meanings. Encourage them to work them out by themselves.Step 5Pronounce and speak (Activities 6, 7) Activity 6 目的是让学生了解英语句子的重读规律。告诉学生我们在用英语交谈时,并不是句子中的每个单词都说得一样响亮、一样清楚,而是有些词说得又轻又快而且较为含糊,有些词则说得又重又慢而且较为清晰。那些说得响亮而清晰的词就是句子的重读所在。教师在教学中,应引导学生注意录音中的轻读和重读,并让学生有意识地去模仿。Activity 7 让学生描述自己喜欢的运动队或体育明星,让学生进行交流互动,表达各自的观点。Give students time to read the questions and think about their answers.Put students in pairs to talk about their favourite sports teams or stars.Ask a few pairs to talk for the class.Step 6知识搜索: 找出对话中出现的有关一般过去时被动语态的句子和“Everyday English”中的重点句,熟记它们。Step 7Language points 1decision n. 决定2stand for 代表,是的缩写3
