Unit 2 What time is it ?Part A Lets talkGood morning, honorable teachers, Im number . Its my honor to stand here to share my teaching plans. Today my topic is What time is it. Ill present it as following aspects : analysis of teaching material、teaching procedures、blackboard design and so on.The first part, Ill explain teaching material. This content is from PEP English book, the second semester of grade 4Unit 3 What time is it, part A Lets talk. Through learning activities, students will be able to master the new words about dinner and classes, at the same time know about sentence structures through conversations. The second part, Id like to analyze students. As the students in grade 4 have just learned English for a year , they cant communicate with others in English fluently, therefore, the teachers should help them build the confidence and arise their interest in English speaking. According to the new English curriculum standards, I set the three-dimensional aims as follows. First one, knowledge aims: students need to learn the new words and phrases like breakfast、lunch、dinner、PE class、English class、music class and sentences structures What time is it?、It is.”、“It is time for.”. Next one, ability aims: by learning target languages, students realize how to ask the time. The last one, the emotional aims, students should value the time and have plan for it. In the process of achieving teaching aims, the key and difficult points are setted as follows. The key points are the usages of the new words and sentences. However, how to apply the words into sentences flexibly and encourage students use English to communicate with others are the difficulties.In order to break through the important points and difficulties, considering the pupils curiosity, Ill use three kinds of teaching methods which consists task-based teaching method、communicative approach and total situational action. All these methods reflect that students are the center of the class, so they should study English by discussion、practicing and imitation.For attracting students attention, Ill use the multi-media and pictures as my teaching aids.Next, Ill analyze the most important partsteaching procedure. It includes four parts.Step 1 lead in Use a song to lead in the lesson, students sing a song after the videohave dinner.If you have the dinner, clap your hands. As there are some pictures about food in the flash, which can link to daily life and the song can alive the class, create a relax learning environment. After students go into the content , Step 2 Presentation(1) I present pictures of 姚明、刘德华and so on, lead in PE class、music class、breakfast、lunch、dinner、English class. Play the game high or low voice to exercise them. (2) Play a flash, the title is “A day of 喜羊羊”, say “Do you know what喜羊羊is going to to do today?”. Shows the picture of a clock on PPT, ask What time is it? They may say “It is seven oclock” in Chinese. Lead in the sentence structures. Next take out a model clock, turn it to any time, ask students questions to practice the sentence patterns.(3)“It is seven oclock, what is 喜羊羊going to do? Go on looking the flash.” Appear a picture on the PPT, he is having the breakfast, say “oh, its time for breakfast”. (4)Use the same way to practice the sentences with the words and phrases “lunch、dinner、PE class、English class、music class”. In this process, students may able to answer the sentence What time is it? “It is eight oclock, its time for English class”. This reflects students are the center of class, teacher is just a guider, we should lead them speak by themselves.Use the cartoon to lead in the sentence patterns, it can attract students attention, so they realize the usages of the sentences structures, and will be fond of speaking EnglishAfter presenting the words and sentences, the knowledge aims will be achieved. However, how to apply the words into sentences flexibly is a difficult point, lets go to Step 3 Practice and Consolidation.(1) Activity 1: Use the communicative approach, play a game “body clock”. One student act as the clock, his right leg represents hour and left leg represents minute, do the action like this and ask What time is it? the desk mates answer the question It is three oclock, it is time for PE class. Then chooses two pairs to perform it in the front of the class. Give the better team a high praise.(2)Activity 2: Draw a picture of clock, set different time, make a dialogue with desk mate and do some actions, like this “seven oclock, its time for breakfast, lets drink some milk.”Through different activities, students practice the words and sentences structures. At the same time, develop the spirit of corporation. At the end of content, Step 4 Summary and Homework(1) Summary: Request a student to talk about what he have learned to
