As we know, terrible environment is a big threat to human s physical health, even mental health. But, even though environment is perfect, is the world truly harmonious? What is true harmony between human and nature? Just ideal environment? No, ideal environment is external harmony, shouldn t we pursue internal conscious harmony? The definition of nature, in my perception, includes not only environment, human society is also a part of nature. So the true harmony between man and nature lies in three aspects. This is my topic tonight. The first aspect is co-existence between human and environment. Man is a part of nature is a fundamental concept in Chinese ancient philosophy, ancient emperors worshiped the heaven and earth 2 / 4 annually for blessing their countries and people. In modern age, this concept is still acceptable. As Ji Xianlin, known as master of Chinese culture, once said mutual understanding and to form friendship between man and nature are the true meaning of harmony. However, recent years, human s activities have broken the harmony, people can hardly find a clean river, enjoy a sunny day or even breathe freely. The second aspect is harmony between human and society. Have you ever noticed the people on the subway? Their eyes reflect they are so exhausted for making a living. Under huge pressures, most people are unhealthy. According to report from World Health Organization in xx, 75% people worldwide are in sub-health condition caused by social pressures and unhealthy lifestyles. In other word, three in four of you here are in sub-health. Another social issue, hunting an ideal job is a big headache for most graduates. So it is critical for people to live in harmony with society. The third aspect is harmonious interpersonal 3 / 4 relationship. Good personal relationship is a bridge, which links you and me; it is sunshine, which lightens our hearts with tolerance and hope; Meanwhile, unwilling to communicate leads to poor personal relations, which may cause communication fright, mental diseases, even tragedies. As we know, an extreme incident shocked whole China in xx, Ma jiajue, a postgraduate of Yunnan University, murdered his 4 roommates. A similar case occurred in Fudan University last year. We all hope these tragedies will never ever happen again! So harmonious personal relations are essential to everyone. In conclusion, the true harmony between man and nature involves harmony between human and environment, human and society, human and human.
