树立商业意识:美国人做事很实际。自己付出了劳动,就要相应地得到报酬。一份赢得雇佣双方互相尊重的工作才是双赢(win-win)的结局。一般的,在外企,都有非常明确的工资结构。多数外企薪资的制订,是按照3p2m的原则,既实际业绩(performance)、岗位职责(position)、个人能力(people),参照行业市场(industrymarket)和人才市场(talentmarket)而制订。公司会根据职位范围的大小、工作的复杂度等来确定工资的级别,工资的增长跟员工的业绩是紧密相连的。 时间观念很强:办事迅速在美国是一种美德,美国经理在商业活动中注重快速取得成功,公司对员工的创造力和工作效率要求很高,大家工作都很拼命,通宵加班是常事,但是待遇很好。 主张良好的工作氛围:工作时精力充沛,开朗爽快,无拘无束;在公司里,大家不论职位高低,一律直呼对方的英文名,体现出平等、民主。 团队发展意识:与别人商谈,永远称呼“我们公司”。如:摩托罗拉在招聘员工时有一条标准,那就是员工的发展意识,他既要能发展自己,又能发展别人。 注重人才储备,随时为企业补充后备力量和新鲜血液,如:毕马威是“四大”中规模不是最大,但他们每年对大学生的招聘力度却并不比其他三家少,第一年做的是非常基础性的事情,小组的领导会教你做事情,第二年就要你独立做事,而第三年则需要你带领小组,教别的新人做事情了。而在5年后,就开始向高层管理和合伙人的位臵努力了。角色的迅速换位使得人才的成长几乎是被逼出来的。 美国劳工部公布的最受雇主欢迎的十种技能是:解决问题的能力、专业技能、沟通能力、计算机编程技能、培训技能、科学与数学技能、理财能力、信息管理能力、外语交际能力、商业管理能力。 所以应聘者要求简历写得简洁漂亮,填写美国公司寄来的表格。所有书面表达,必须用英语。可以综合考查应聘者英文书面表达的能力,用英语思维表达出:integrity(诚实正直)、attitude(工作态度)、leadership(领导能力)teamwork(团队合作) results(注重结果)、inclusion(内涵)。 微
