Improve the students listening ability.Moral Education: Help students know the difference of different countries.教学重点(1)、通过对话长途通话训练学生的听、说、读、写能力,掌握使用简单的现在进行时的句子来表达正在发生的动作。 (2)、了解现在进行时的基本表达。教学难点现在进行时的表达。教学方法PWP Communicative教学用具Multi-Media (or Tape recorder, OHP)教学过程Step1 Warming up and lead in:1. Ask the students who has been to the great wall and what he/ she is feeling, what they do, thus the unit is introduced.2. Match the words with the pictures in Activity 1.3. Listen and match these words in Activity 2.设计意图:寒假回校第一节课,从学生的寒假生活是否去过长城并谈论开始入手,谈论去长城时的感受,逐步引入主题,并导入部分新单词和词组。Step2 Presentation1. Students find out the meaning of the language points and then make sentences1) wait for 2) on a trip 3) have a good time 4) the others5) take pictures 6) lying (lie + ing) 7) in the sun 8) a lot = very much2. Show the present continuous (affirmative) I am standing on the Great wall. We are having a great time.3. Drilling:Make the students discuss what the sentence structures are like. Present continuous (affirmative): be + v.-ing ( to express what people are doing now) 4. Ask students to work in pairs to practice the sentence structure by making sentences according to Activity 1. 设计意图:通过对词组的学习,完成新单词的教学。列举现在进行时的句子,让学生有所感悟,也为下面的听力作好铺垫。Step3 Listening1. Students listen to the tape and finish Activity 4.2. Listen again and check the answers : b-d-a-e-f-g-c3. Students write full sentences for their answers in Activity 4 (Activity 5)1) Betty is talking to her mother.2) Lingling is shopping for presents.3) Daming is lying in the sun.4) Tony is eating an ice cream.5) Lingling and Betty are writing postcards.6) Wang Hui is taking photos.7) The children are enjoying the school trip.4. Students practice reading the dialogue in groups设计意图:在常规听力练习中进一步提高学生听的能力。Step4 Text explanation1. another, the other, others, the others1) another 同类人或事物中的“另一个”;the other 两个人或事物中的“另一个”e.g. This pair of shoes is too small. Please show me another pair. I have two dogs. One is black and the other is white.2) others 其他的人或事物;the others 剩余的人式事物e.g. A few of them are red, others are white (另一些是白色的). A few of them are red, the others are white(剩下的是白色的).2. Im standing on the Great Wall of China and (Im) talking to you. And 连接两个并列成分,由于Im相同,可以省略。3. send sb. sth. = send sth to sb e.g. send me a postcard = send a postcard to me4. anyway 表示结束一个话题又接另一个话题。5. Were going home now. = Were going to go home now.设计意图:通过对课文重点的讲解和分析,使学生更好的了解对话,掌握重点。Step5 Pronunciation1. Students read the dialogue together with the tape recorder.2. Students read the pronunciation and words in Activity 7 & 8 with the tape recorder.3. One student read the words to let the partner check if the words are pronounced in a correct way.4. Students listen and check the words they hear with the tape recorder. (Activity 9)设计意图:通过对语音的训练,使学生更好的掌握现在分词的构成。Step6 Who is my good friend in the group?Group working: to say what people are doing at the moment. (Activity 10)设计意图:通过小组内对话,让学生练习现在进行时,让学生产生有意义的输出,并使语言的运用最终落实于篇章之中。Homework1. Write some sentences about what people are doing.2. Ask students to do some actions and the others talk about what they are doing.2. Write the expressions into English.1) 玩得很愉快 have a good time2) 买些礼物 buy some presents3) 照相 take photos4) 穿上衣服 put on the cloths5) 中国长城 the Great Wall of China6) 在太阳下 in the sun 3. Students practice pronouncing the words by themselves.3. To help some students correct the pronunciations of some words.设计意图:通过对新单词和词组的学习,使学生了解短文所要涉及的内容。Step3 Pre-reading1. 请注意下列动词的现在分词形式:1) Its five oclock and people are leaving (离开) work.2) Its nine oclock and people arent getting up. (起床)3) The child is putting on the clothes. (穿上)4) They are visiting (探望) friends.5) She is washing the sweater. (洗)2. Explain “world time” to the students: The worlds surface is divided into 24 time zones, each one of 15 longitude, or one hour of time. The time is then given as the number of hours ahead (+) or behind (-) Greenwich Mean Time.Beijing 01:00 = London 17:00 = Moscow 20:00 = Los Angeles 9:00 = New York 12:00At this moment, in different places of the world people are doing different things.此时此刻,在世界不同地方的人们正在做着不同的事情。3. Read and find words that have the following meaning. (Activity 1)1). a place to meet friends and have a drink (pub)2). music and dancing (ballet)3). a place to have dinner (restaurant)4). going to a place in a car or bus (driving)5). music and singing (opera)6). put on your clothes (get dressed)2. To read again and check the true sentences (Activity 3) B-B-B-A-B3. To say what the people in the photos are doing in groups (Activity 2)Picture 1 They are running for the train. Theyre waiting for the bus.Picture 2 The people are watching ballet in the opera.Picture 3 They are sleeping.Picture 4 They re working in the office. Students find out what time it is now in London, Moscow, New York and Los Angeles. Write sentences saying what people are doing or arent doing. Join sentences with and.e.g. In London its five oclock and people arent working. Theyre going home. Some people are walking to pubs and have a drink.2. Correct their sentences in groups.3. To read the postcard and answer the questions (Activity 5)Answers 1. Bettys mother is writing the postcard.2. She is sending it to Betty.3. Tony is buying some fruits.B. Lucy and Lily are doing their homework.C. I am singing in the washroom.D. They are playing football .E. She is enjoying her visit.2. 现在进行时: 肯定句 be doing 否定句 be not doing一般疑问句,Be动词提前到句子开头e.g Im visiting my friends now.He isnt writing a postcard.Is she enjoying her visit?Are they buying postcards?句型转换: 1) She is watching a ballet. (变否定句) She isnt watching a ballet. 2) Were waiting for our teacher. (变一般疑问句) Are you waiting for your teacher? 3) Is Tony calling a friend? (作肯定问答) Yes, he is. 4) They are lying in the sun. (画线提问) What are they doing? 3. 常与现在进行时态连用的词:now, listen, look, its +时间. 等。 如:What are you doing now? (你在干什么?) Im reading now. (我现在正在读书。)Listen! She is singing. (听,她正在唱歌。)Look! My parents are watering the flowers. (看,我的父母亲正在浇花.)设计意图:通过语法的讲解和归纳,使学生更为清晰的了解现在进行时的构成和表达,帮助学生理清语法思路。Step2 Activity 21To complete the conversation Tony is having with his dad.Tony: Hi, Dad!Dad: Hi, Tony .What are you doing (you/do)?Tony: We are visiting (visit) the Forbidden City.
