My Favorite English SongEveryone has an English song in his heart and I am of no exception. I can clearly remember how the song became a part of my life. It was in the terrible mood that I walked by a CD shop which was playing English songs. Curiosity led me to walk into the shop and I loved the song immediately when the lyrics “I believe I can fly” was sung. In the meanwhile, my heart was brightened and hope was full of my eyesight. From then on, I have had my own English song: I Believe I Can Fly. This song was written, produced and performed by R. Kelly and was featured as the soundtrack to the 1996 motion picture Space Jam. As for me, there are thousands of remarkable English songs in the world. However, “I believe I can fly” is the only one that I called it as my favorite English song. The reasons that I choose this song as my favorite song can be concluded into three parts. Primarily, there is no denying that the lyrics are easy enough for us to understand, for they have few complicated words. Another advantage of this song is the repeatability of sentences. As a result, I can sing the song without thinking. Secondarily, the melody is so charming that I can not help myself loving it. Whats more, it is magical that the feeling for the song will change by different emotion. Take me as an example, my feeling of the song was comfortable when I was relaxed; then, the feeling switched to inspiring when I was in a blue mood. Thats why this song has been being popular among us.Last but not the least; I worship the spirit of R. Kelly. Generally speaking, almost all of songs represent a story. In R. Kellys teenage, he had had a dream to become a basketball player. Unfortunately, his way to the basketball stage came to an end when he was thirteen years old. On that day, he was about to cycle when some troubled teens robbed his bike and Kellys shoulder got shot. So far, a part of the bullet has hidden in Kellys shoulder. To some degree, God provided Kelly with another opportunity to get involved in music. After several years endeavor, Kelly have been being a representative best seller of R&B. Above all, Kelly has been pushing forward by perseverance. If I were him, I would have abandoned myself. It is outstanding that a man have overcome twists and turns physically and mentally and still made such great achievements constantly. As a matter of fact, He wrote this song for Michael Jordon, a very famous basketball player who jumps very high. From my perspective, this song is for R. Moreover, it spurs me on being positive and energetic no matter how awful a situation is. In addition, I love these lyrics,” cuz I believe in me. If I can see it then I can do it. Just because Kelly has been holding hope in his mind, he gained rich fruits on his own. Furthermore, successful as he is, he never stops sparing every effort on his career.
