We will learn the main parts of the face through review and an activity art project called “Lets make a face!” We will learn the major parts of the body and review them through an activity from the EtonKids English Everyday Workbook We will learn secondary parts of the body through real examples of students and teachers. To review we will play the game teacher says. The focus will be on reviewing the 20 different body parts that we learned over the course of the week. I will gage how well the class has grasped this new vocabulary and if further review is needed. Whichever subject the students are weakest during the review we determine which game we will play to finish the class.The first part of the lesson will be the introduction of the major parts of our face. I will use my face to illustrate the new vocabulary. Next we will use construction paper to make silly faces. I will cut out the different shapes of our face and review the English pronunciations with the students. Then we will make faces out of the body parts we learned that day. The directions are to cut out a mouth, a nose,2 ears and 2 eyes. I will then tell the children that they are to use these to make their face.The lesson will start with a fun warm up reviewing the parts of the face. Next I will introduce the new vocabulary using a student to show the new body parts we will learn that day. After we have reviewed the vocabulary we will complete lesson 22 page 52 in the Etonkids English Everyday Workbook I will use myself and the students as examples to introduce the secondary body parts. Then we will play a game called “teacher says” to reinforce the new material. The students will have to pay close attention to hear the body part that the teacher calls out then the student will have to touch that part of their body. The winner of the game will get to be the teacher and call out the body part. Using the songs The hokey pokey and Head, shoulders, Knees, and Toes we will review the 20 different body parts. I will gage how well the class has grasped this new vocabulary and if further review is needed. Whichever subject the students are weakest during the review we determine which game we will play to finish the class.
