Hold up your book and point to one of the three phrases on the right for A.2. T (S1s name), can you read the sentence? S1: I (watched TV).3. Ask two more Ss to read the other sentences aloud for the class.4. %repeat the procedures with several more questions.Using the book1. T: Now lets listen to the tape.2. Play the tape for A, and then pause the tape.3. T: Circle the correct answer. (Model circling.)4. T: Ill play the tape again. This time, try to remember the question.5. Play the tape again for A.6. T: (S2s name), what the question? S2: What did you do last night?7. T: (S3s name), whats the answer? S3: I studied English.8. Continue with the rest of the questions.(2)Getting ready1. Go over Picture Cards 53-76 on the page orally.2. Point to the pictures at random and have Ss describe it by picking the correct card and say a sentence/a phrase, e.g. (With the card watched.) He watched TV.Using the book T; now Ill play the tape. Listen to the conversation. Play the tape for A and pause. T: Which is the correct picture? Put a checkmark in the correct box. Continue with the rest. Play the tape again and check the answers with the whole class.(3)Getting ready1. Have Ss look at the pictures and ask some questions about them, e.g. who are they? , etc.Using the book T: Lets read the passages. Give Ss time to read the passages silently. Have individual Ss red the passages aloud sentence by sentence for the class. T: (Point to Question A.) (S1s name), can you read the question? S1: What did Dave study at school? T: Whats the answer, (2s name)? S2: He studied math, English and science. T: Good. Write the answer on the page. Give Ss time to finish writing the answer. Continue with the rest and Question B.(4)Getting ready Ask individual Ss to read the word out loud.Using the book Point to the word mouse. T: /au/, /au/. Mouse. Ill play the tape. Lets find the sound/au/. Play the tape. T: Can you find the words with the sound/au/? Circle them. Have Ss say the words so that class can check the answers. Repeat the procedures with B and C. Sentence patternsHow does it smell/taste/feel?Language Lab根据课文内容回答Questions and answers中的问题,根据自己的实际情况回答On your own中的问题。能读懂并表演Pair Work中的小对话。Music Box能掌握音标/p/,/b/,/i:/,/I/ 并能看音标读单词。Disneyland能用正确的语音、语调朗读Rhyme: Roses e, Roses Go 节奏基本正确,能体会语言的美感。Difficult Points:1. mustnt表示禁止,相当于汉语“不该”“不准”“不可以”等;如果要表示“不必”,英语中不能用mustnt,而应该用neednt。2. get / arrive/ reach 表示到达时的用法区别reach后面加地点无需加介词,而get和arrive都需要加不同的介词,如get to,arrive at,arrive in;能单独使用的只有arrive,get to 和 reach必须后面加地点名词。3. Whats+地点介词短语构成的问句必须用There is 或There are 的形式来回答;但课文中的whats this/that+介词短语构成的问句,其答句为Its Developing Aims1能用不同的话语在不同的场合表达一些社会公德。2能根据学校实际情况写一份School Rules贴在学校Notice Board中。教学资源:教学投影片、配套磁带1. 课时安排:课时安排:建议本单元安排5教时。2. 教材处理:Wonderland中是单词来自于课文,所以可以和Grand Theatre中的内容结合在一起进行教学。Farmland 中的情态动词的用法,教师要讲解清楚,有许多很有用的词组如at a time, takeout of。教师还可以根据学生学习情况补充一些图书馆用语,如keep the book for 借阅长时间;return the book还书。Language Lab是Grand Theatre的配套练习,所以应该结合在一起进行教学。Disneyland中的内容是一首小诗,所以可以放在每一节课之前进行诵读,让学生自然习得,教师也可以找一些课外的儿歌补充教学内容。教法建议:词汇教学方法:本单元Wonderland栏目中的8个单词,其中3个标*号的单词已经学过,教师在可内安排适当的复习即可,如:从May I? Can?情景对话引入情态动词musta) A: May I use your pen? (use your bicycleB: Yes, here you are.A: Thank you.b) A: Can he/she run fast? (jump high/ play basketball/play video games) B: Yes, he/she can. (No, he/she cant.)c) A: Must I do my homework? (follow the school rules/ keep quiet in the cinema/) B: Yes, you must. (No, you neednt.)词汇教学后教师可以让学生做天空练习,检查学生是否能正确运用can, may must, neednt。 Fill in the blanks with the word can, may, must, mustnt or neednt.1. A: I m hungry. _ I have some French fries? And they _ follow the school rules.句型教学方法:教师可以让学生分组阅读Farmland栏目中的对话:Library Rules教师提出问题让学生根据Library Rules来回答。Questions:1. How many books can students borrow at a time? 2. Can students take the newspapers out of the library? 3. What must students do in the library and what mustnt they do?教师可以根据学校的实际情况问学生几个问题,为在组内用英语制定一些规章制度做准备。Questions: 1. Is there a library in our school? 2. Do you have library rules? 3. What are they? 4. Can we make some rules in English for our library?教师给出话题让学生分组讨论后,用英语写出适当的规章制度。Rules in the classroom/ Riles in the puter room/ Rules in the playground/Rules in the dining room
