聊城大学硕士学位论文 摘要 英语教师课堂教学语言是指英语教师在课堂教学中使用的学习者目的语的语言。它 对课堂教学的组织及学生的语言习得都是至为关键的。这不仅因为完美的教师语言的组 织与传授可以使教学内容达到理想的教学效果，而且它本身还起着目的语的示范作用， 是学生语言输入的又一重要途径。因此，对英语教师课堂教学语言的研究是外语课堂教 学研究的重要方面。目前国内关于英语教师课堂教学语言的研究主要论述了英语教师话 语的数量、语言使用策略、对学习者习得的影响等方面的问题。其研究触角延伸到应用 语言学、教育学、心理学、语用学各个方面。在前人研究的基础上，本文尝试运用美学 语言学的言语美的生成机制构想，并结合教育学、心理学的相关理论，对英语教师课堂 教学语言中的言语美进行探索式的研究。 美学语言学是一门新兴的学科，而言语美的概念正是来源于此。言语美是个体的言 语活动和言语行为中言语片段美学价值、美学特征的总和。根据形成言语美的不同方式， 言语美分为形式美和意象美两个层次，其中意象美又包含内容美和新奇美两个下义层次。 以形式美而论，言语美就是语音按恰当比例组合，多样变化，和谐统一。落实到实处， 就体现在押韵、句式整齐和富有节奏感上。语言的内容美是指语音和语言结构能恰当生 动地表现出入的意思、观念及意念。内容美可以通过选用合适的词句以及仓4 造具体的意 象而得以实现。新奇美是指由词句的不同寻常的运用而产生的新颖的意象。新奇美的实 现方式包括创造陌生效果和审美效果。概括来说，言语美的基本特征表现为说话人在恰 当的语境中选择了恰当的话语以及说话人在语言形式上选择了优美的音韵和恰当的节 奏，选择了符合形式美法则的言语表达实体。 言语美同样体现在英语教师课堂教学语言中并呈现出自己独特的方式。无论他们意 识到与否，英语教师总是有意无意地根据学生的理解力水平来调整自己的措辞。教师所 作的调整主要表现在以下语音、词汇、句法、语篇四个典型的方面。教师所作的这些调 整使得师生间的交流得以继续下去，这也符合言语美实现的先决条件：听得懂。如果学 习者连听都听不懂，对言语美的体会及其欣赏就无从谈起了。而其中的一些调整本身就 体现出了言语美的特征。如在语音层面上辅音连缀的谨慎使用就体现了这一点。英语中 较多的辅音连缀不利于形成优美的乐音，因为太多的停顿阻隔使得人们无法自如地延长 音节。从这个意义上来讲，辅音连缀的谨慎使用为形式美层次上的言语美扫清了障碍， 即使达不到美的话至少也避免了不美的情况。而在意象美层次上，学习者最容易感受到 聊城大学硕士学位论文 的就是新奇美，其实现方法也很多。从创造陌生效果来说，其主要的实现方法包括对英 语词句进行重组，具象出内含的画面，反撞出离奇的效果以及运用同音或近音双关语等。 而从创造审美效果来说，其主要实现方法包括正式文体中嵌入其他文体，自说中嵌入引 用以及散句中嵌入骈句。 在我国，正在进行的英语改革给教师提出了较高的语言熟练程度的要求。而言语美
