作为英语学习中最重要的组成部分，词汇知识是其它许多语言技能的基础， 尤其是听力技能。因为只要理解了话语中每一个词的意思，你就能与别人交流。 正是由于词汇对于交流的重要作用，目前许多学者针对词汇进行了研究。 其中，l a u f e r 把词汇知识的一个重要方面词汇强度，分成了主动回想，被动 回想，主动识别和被动识别四个样态。但是很少学者将词汇和听力水平结合起 来进行研究，尤其是针对词汇强度和听力水平的研究更是风毛麟角。因此，本 文针对词汇强度样态的难度等级和其与听力成绩的相关性，进行了整体和分组 定量研究。 北京邮电大学来自信息与通信工程专业的6 3 名新生参加了本次实验。根据 他们在期末听力考试中的成绩，这些学生被分成了高、中、低听力水平的三组。 另外，本次实验采用了5 个测量工具，其中4 个是词汇测验，针对四个词汇强 度样态，最后一个为期末听力测验，代表学生的听力水平。本测验采用单因素 方差分析和对于集中趋势和离散量数的描述统计来证明4 个词汇强度样态存在 难度等级的区别。此外，皮尔逊相关性检验也被用来检验四个难度样态和听力 水平之间的相关性。 在对实验所获得的数据进行分析和比较后，本文得出了以下的结论和发现： 1 词汇强度的四个样态之间存在难度等级：主动回想 被动回想 主动识别 被动识别，其中主动回想的难度最大，被动识别的难度最小。分组分析中也同 样证明了这个结论。 2 听力水平和词汇强度四个样态之间都存在显著的相关性，其中被动回忆 与听力水平的相关性最高。根据与听力水平相关系数的高低，四个强度样态的 排列顺序为：被动回想 主动回想 主动识别 被动识别。这个排列顺序在整体分 析和中、高等听力学生小组中是一致的。但是在听力水平较低的小组中，四个 强度样态与听力水平相关系数的排列为：被动回想 被动识别 主动回想 主动识 别。 在本文的最后，作者建议第二外语学习者应更注重词汇学习，尤其是主动 性或产出性词汇知识的学习。英语教师应该在课堂中引入更多的产出性词汇练 习方法，督促学生掌握准确的词义，激活所学词汇，促进更深层次的词汇知识 的学习。同时，老师应对学生听力水平定期进行检查，以便为不同水平的学生 提供相应的训练方法。
