摘要 否定范围是否定理论中的重要部分，而由否定范围产生的歧义是英语中一种常 见的现象，常给英语学习和日常交流带来曲解和模糊。解决此类问题的最好办法 就是探询其根源并使之得到准确的处理和理解。本文旨在对由否定范围及其歧义 进行深入分析，并客观地描述中国学生在处理否定范围所引起的歧义时所表现出 的普遍特点。本文从否定范围及其歧义的相关文献和理论入手，并以此为依据对 大学生及中学生对否定范围和所产生歧义的认识和处理进行调查。研究主要采用 翻译测试和问卷的方法收集资料。通过仔细地对所得资料的量化分析，我们得出 结论：中国学生在对否定范围的识别及其产生的歧义的处理过程中存在着普遍特 点。针对某些类型的否定歧义旬体现出对助动词否定，全部否定，局部否定，及 强调谓语的倾向，并受句中所用动词和汉语表达习惯的影响。在此基础上本文提
