试论影响中小学生英语学习的主要因素 摘要 目前，我国正值改革开放的一个全新时期，特别是在2 0 0 8 年北京奥运会成 功举办之后，培养具有较强外语交际能力人才成为当务之急。而培养学生具有较 强的英语表达能力一直都是英语作为外语教学的最终目的，也是当前提升学生总 体素质的必要内容之一。然而我国学术界对二语习得的研究以及外语教学的研究 在近二十年才全面展开，国内的外语教学法和教学理论的提出绝大多数是基于西 方外语教学法的引进和简单重塑。从某种意义上讲，许多语言研究成果还不能对 语言教学进行系统而有效地指导，这对我国英语教学来说是一个较大的瓶颈。目 前我国英语教学中“费时低效”的现象十分严重，很多学生经过十多年的英语学 习，却不能熟练地阅读英文书籍，难以用英语与外国人熟练地交流，更听不懂英 语新闻。这种“哑巴英语的现状亟待解决。 2 0 0 1 年以来，根据国家教育部的规定，大部分学生在小学阶段初涉英语。 这是打基础的一个关键时期。遗憾的是由于种种原因，我国基础教育阶段的英语 教学尚存在着许多问题，制约着他们英语学习的良性发展。近几年大多数学者的 研究重点主要落在大中城市的英语教学与学习的现状上，而对于小城镇和农村的 研究量相对不足。由于在我国大部分中小学生分布在农村和小城镇，因此对他们 英语学习现状的研究和分析，更能反映出影响学生英语学习的主要因素。笔者为 了获得第一手资料，对中小学阶段的英语学习做了问卷调查。此次调查对象是农 村和小城镇的老师和学生，分别来自四个地区的六所小学和四所中学的部分师 生。共收回问卷2 2 7 份。 通过分析数据结果所反映的当前中小学英语教学中存在的主要问题有：随着 学生由小学升入中学，他们的英语学习兴趣呈下降态势，厌学者增多，且缺乏英 语学习的动机；教师专业素质不高，尤其是小学阶段，不少教师并非出身于英语 专业，教学方法单一，缺乏教研意识；学校设备不足或破旧；小学阶段教材繁杂： 班级人数过多等问题。尤其是本文通过对中小学阶段学生学习现状的对比分析， 反映了当前基础教育阶段学生的非智力因素和教师素质对英语学习的深远影响。 最后笔者针对调查所反映的问题反思当前中小学英语教学问题，并结合部分
