摘要 插入语，顾名思义。是一种打断句子原有结构或意思的插入成分。 作为一种话语表达方式。插入语无论是在英语书面语言还是口头语 言中都大量存在。英语中的插入语不仅形式多样，语义丰富，而且在 交际中还起着我们意想不到的作用。国内外众多学者从不同角度对插 入语这一语言现象进行了不同程度的研究。总体看来，这些研究大都 局限于语法分析或其某些具体的语用功能。而有关插入语这一语言现 象产生的深层机制的探索还不多见。 本文作者试图在前人研究的基础之上运用功能语法理论中的某 些原理及维索尔伦的顺应理论从语用的角度分析和认识插入语这一 语言现象产生的机制。其中维索尔伦的顺应理论是一种关于人类语言 交际的行为和认知的理论。它以语言的选择与顺应为基本点，探究人 们语言交际的心理机制及其过程以及社会文化的作用，揭示出语言运 用的实质。顺应理论被认为是一套完整的语用学理论，它对语言现象 具有极强的包容性和解释力。 那么。在具体的语境中人们为什么会有意或无意地使用到插入语 呢? 我们认为语言使用者在话语中使用插入语是为了顺应各种语境 因素。这些因素包括：l ，交际语境，即语言使用者( 包括发话者的不 同声音和不同类型的听者) 、心理世界( 包括交际者的性格，感情，动 机，意向等) 、社交世界( 包括说话人的职业，社会地位及社交规则 等) 、物理世界( 包括说话人所处的时间空间和语言环境等) 。2 ， 语言语境，即上下文的衔接和语言的不同风格等。同时插入语在顺应 各种不同的语境因素的过程中，发挥着各种各样的功能，从而成功地 实现交际者的交际目的。 本论文的研究除了前言和结论部分外，主要由三个部分组成。 第一部分对插入语这种语言现象的相关文献资料进行一个简单 的回顾。首先列举一些权威性词典对插入语的解释，然后作者从句法 层，语义层及形式上讨论分析插入语的三个区分性特征。其次作者对 插入语做一个大致的分类：表情态的插入语，表连接的插入语，表补 充说明的插入语。最后作者回顾了学者们对插入语在语法领域及语用 学领域的研究，并陈述了本研究的目的及研究价值。在第二部分作者 陈述了本研究的理论框架，即顺应理论。其中重点介绍语境及动态顺 应等相关知识。第三部分是本文的研究重点。该部分包括两个章节。 作者以顺应理论为指导，从语用的角度分析了插入产生的深层机制， 即语言使用者是如何使用插入语以顺应各种语境因素从而达到自己 的交际目的。 通过本文的研究，我们发现，语言使用者在口头或书面语言中使 用插入语实质上是为了与各种语境因素相顺应从而实现某种交际目 的。插入语不仅是一种语言现象，更是一种交际策略。顺应理论为插 入语的研究提供了一个很好的理论框架，它对插入语这一语言现象的
