摘要 翻译学是一门开放性、综合性、跨学科性很强的科学和艺术，所以 要在这一科学框架中构筑翻译理论，二十世纪九十年代，西方学者纷纷 把语篇语言学理沦引进翻译研究领域，以语篇语言学为理论背景的翻译 研究认为翻译是语篇的翻译，对等是语篇层面的对等。语篇语言学方法 把翻译看作是一个自上而下( t o p d o w n ) 的过程，即先决定译文在目的语 文化中的属性或类型及其交际功能，再通过一个个的语言结构来体现预 定的语篇。在翻译实践中，要重组( 建构) 一个适用于目的语社会的语篇， 并非取决于表层结构( 如一个个句子) 的转换，而是自上而下地、有目的 地选择语言资源，对整个语篇进行重写。以语篇为翻译单位不是说可以 脱离词句，翻译的实际操作总是从词句开始，语篇意识强调的是，每一 个层级的翻译操作都应该在其上一层级作为思维背景的情况下进行，而 整个语篇或篇章是翻译决策的最终落脚点，是最终评判译文质量的标准。 如今的翻译研究已不再将翻译视为以文本形式出现的静态的产品， 而是一种动态的跨文化的交际过程。交际是通过语篇完成的，交际的参 与者对语篇类型和结构有某种共识，这种共识以知识的形式储存于他们 的大脑中，语篇作为按一定成篇模式构建的信息载体，可激活读者头脑 中的语篇知识，从而达到交流的目的。翻译的过程就是选择的过程，语 篇类型之所以重要是因为它和内容形式，翻译策略有密切的关系，分析 原文必须考虑语篇类型，语言成分以及非语言因素，翻译中的语篇类型 的研究开始于r e i s s 在二十世纪七十年代的研究，赖斯的理论是以语篇 类型的普遍共性入手，逐步分析各种不同种类的具体特点，从而建立起 翻译类型学。虽然能够解决所有类型语篇的翻译方法并不存在，但是不 同的语篇需要不同的翻译策略。 本论文是以语篇类型为切入点，按哈蒂姆( h a t i m2 0 0 1 ) 的记叙、 论说和指令三种类型的对语篇进行划分，从宏观角度对比研究英汉语篇 的异同，从各语篇类型的特征来看，英汉两种语言的语篇有许多相似之 处，成功的翻译应该再现原文的语篇类型的特征及其功能。由于思维方 式和文化的差异所引起的英汉语篇类型结构的不同，主要表现在语篇的
