摘要 埃德蒙斯宾塞是文艺复兴时期英国诗坛的伟大先驱之一，享有“诗人之诗 人”的美誉。本文以双性同体的神话传说和基督教原型以及传统的西方宇宙论为 依据，从人性神性及宇宙的和谐三个层次研究斯宾塞敏锐独特的婚姻观，突出 婚姻一爱的归宿这一主题。 第一章以双性同体的古典神话为基础探讨婚姻是人性的完美体现。人们对爱 情的渴望反映了他们对外在及心灵美的追求，以及找回自身源头形成男女和谐整 体的愿望。婚姻将理想与现实，肉体与精神联系起来。对婚姻创造的人性美的强 调以及及时享乐的思想体现了斯宾塞重要的人文主义思想。 第二章以基督教传统为背景论述了婚姻体现了双性同体的完美神性。一方 面，世间之美是天国之美的反映，世俗之爱是神圣之爱的摹本。婚姻犹如一条金 链将两者联系起来，实现从世俗到神圣。从变化到永恒，从人性到神性的升华。 另一方面，婚姻体现了神的眷顾，是上帝的恩赐。
