山东夫学硕f ：学何论文 摘要 学术论文的目的是报告作者的最新研究发现和成果。实际上，学术论文的根本目 标是说服读者。为达到说服读者的目的，作者必然采用各种方法和策略来加强论述的 说服力。另一方面，写作体现了作者与读者的互动关系。基于这一观点，元话语将我 们引向了作者如何组织命题内容，投射自我，并建立与读者的关系。作为一种语言组 织手段，元话语引导读者阅读语篇，并展示作者的个性。在学术语篇中，元话语维护 并加强作者与读者之间的联系。这使得元话语成为学术语篇研究领域的重要组成部 分。本研究的目的是元话语在英语学术论文中的分布及其功能。 本研究使用的理论框架是由k e nh y l a n d 提出的。元话语是指所有用以组织语篇、 传达作者态度的语言策略。主要有两种元话语：引导式和互动式。其中引导式元话语 包括转换标记语、框架标记语、内指标记语、证据标记语和注释标记语；互动式元话 语包含模糊语、强调语、态度标记语、关系建立标记语和自我提及标记语。 本文的分析语料主要来自网站e l s e v i e r 。作者共收集了来自1 4 个学科的2 0 篇学 术论文，以此为语料探讨学术论文中元话语是如何被用来组织命题内容、表达作者的 态度并建立与读者的关系的。本研究主要围绕以下三个问题展开：1 在全部2 0 篇学 术论文中元话语的总体分布有何特点? 2 在全部学术论文的各部分中元话语的分布 有何特点? 3 自然科学和社会科学学术论文在元话语的使用上有何区别? 作者主要 使用s y s t e m i cc o d e r 软件统计元话语在学术论文语篇中的分布，并进而尝试做出解释。 数据分析结果显示：1 在全部2 0 篇学术论文中，引导式元话语使用次数多于互 动式元话语的使用次数；在各类元话语中，使用次数最多的是转换标记语、模糊语和 注释标记语。2 就学术论文各部份而言，各类元话语的使用情况也各不相同：摘要 部分只涉及到8 类元话语；引言部分更多用到证据标记语；正文部分更多用到内指标 记语；结语部分更多用到注释标记语和自我提及标记语。3 从元话语的总体使用情 况来看，社会科学论文中使用的元话语多于自然科学论文；另外，自然科学学术论文 更多用到引导式元话语而社会科学学术论文更多用到互动式元话语。就各类元话语而 言，自然科学学术论文更多用到内指标记语，而社会科学学术论文更多用到模糊语、 强调语、态度标记语以及自我提及标记语。以上研究结果进一步证明：元话语的使用 i j i 东人学帧卜掌1 市论文 和分布在很大程度上受到修辞手法和学科特点的影响。 本论文共由五章构成。第一章引言介绍了本研究的背景，并指出了研究的目的以
