摘要 谭恩美的小说喜福会是美国华裔文学的代表作之一。该小说细致刻画了四对个 性鲜明，具有代表性的中国母亲和在美国出生的女儿之间的情感故事。本论文以美国华 裔作家谭恩美的作品喜福会为研究对象，分析和解读四对中国母亲和美籍华裔女儿 在美国社会的生活以及工作，通过探究母亲与女儿不同文化身份和文化差异，对母女关 系中问题和矛盾进行解读。反映出华裔们双重文化身份的微妙的态度和观念的变化，并 且研究新一代华裔子女对于自身文化身份的进一步认知情况的原因和程度。 这些美籍华裔女性所遭遇的困难和进退两难的情况并非只存在于喜福会之中， 它们在以华裔女性为主角的文学作品中成为主要的主题。老一代移民美国的华人为适应 新的环境，不得不刻意融入美国强势文化，但对处于弱势的中国文化仍依恋不舍。他们 的子女们则向往成为美国社会中真正的一员，渴望完全融入美国强势文化。随着全球一
