国际性语言，英语被广泛用于国际交流。在对外文化交流与翻译中，产生了中 国英语、中式英语和洋泾浜英语，其中，中国英语为交流的正面产物，指的是人们用非原汁 原味的英语表达中国特有事物的表达法，该词近年才被葛传规提议定名，但溯源远久。随着 改革开放的进程，国际交流愈发频繁，中国英语大量产生。为契合社会、国际交流的需要， 因此中国英语的研究具有现实意义。 第二章 中国英语是中西方文化交流和语言接触的结果。任何社会都不是孤立存在的，任何语言 也不是相互隔绝的。语言是随着社会、文化的接触而不断互相交流、影响的。本章通过简要 回顾中西方文化和汉英语言交流历史，阐述了中国英语形成的原因。在清朝之前，传入英语 的中国词汇并不多，几乎所有的词都是音译过去的，例如：“c h i n a ”，“s i n o ”和“s i l k ”
