西南交通大学硕士研究生学位论文第l 页 摘要 我们生活在一个丰富多彩的颜色世界里。颜色，对人类来说曾经充满着神秘， 它们的产生，本质，分类等都深深吸引着人们的好奇心。随着时间的流失， 人们的生活变得更加复杂多样，自然科学的产生和发展都极大地促进了对颜 色的认知与理解。人们逐渐使用有限而丰富的语言来指代自然界众多的颜色， 即颜色的“词汇化”和“概念化”。对颜色词的研究研究涉及诸多领域，如人 类学，语言学，和心理学等，往往是人们广泛关注的领域之一。 纵览古今中外的颜色词研究，其主要内容涉及色彩认知，颜色词的外部 所指，颜色词的内部关系等。颜色的无限性与其表达方式的有限性注定了其 模糊性。作为语言的一个分支，颜色词处于一个不断发展变化的体系中。本 文立足于英汉语中最基本的一类颜色词“红”，对其从辞源学的角度进行了历 时研究，系统地勾勒出“红”随时间的语义变化，“红”与其他红类词的关系 以及“红”的非颜色意义。通过把汉语颜色词“红”与其相对应的英译颜色 “r e d ”的历时发展情况的相似性和差异性进行对比，说明两者之间转换的可 能性与复杂性。英汉语各自语言中红色的使用，搭配，联想有所不同，其发 展与各自的社会背景、物质、精神生活息息相关，而且世代传承，进而逐渐 形成各具特色的“红”色文化内涵。本文主要研究汉语颜色词“红”与英语 红颜色词的转化，即“红”的英译。研究表明两者之间的历时演化既有相似 处又有所不同，它们的转换不仅仅是语际间的简单替换，而应该把这种转换 纳入各自“红”这一大的框架下进行。 全文共分五章。第一章为绪论，该部分首先阐明了该论文的目的，相关 研究以及中西学者在此领域所取得的成果，然后导入论文所涉及的相关基本 理论，如模糊语言学，词源学，历史语言学等，最后指出了本文的篇章结构。 ”变化的深层原因。然后对两者中的模糊 现象进行分析。作为语言的一个重要属性，模糊现象普遍存在于“红”和“r e d ” 之中，既包括“红”类词的内部之间的界限模糊，又包括广义的模糊，即颜 色概念与其他概念的模糊。 第四章研究汉语模糊词“红”的英语翻译。本章首先论述颜色词、模糊 性与翻译三者之间的关系，然后比较英汉两种语言的思维差别以及对比“红” 与“r e d ”的不同的使用频率，联想，搭配以及感情色彩。结合汉英语言中的 各自红色文化并及分类，本章用实例说明了汉语“红”从颜色词到颜色词和 从颜色词到其他类词的英译策略。 第五章是结论部分。此部分总结了论文研究的重要性，必要性以及局限 性。作者认为通过对“红”与“r e d ”进行历时对比研究和模糊现象分析，对 颜色词的翻译提供了一个新思路，并有助于其它模糊词的翻译。 关键词：红色模糊性对比辞源研究翻译
