摘要 翻译是不同文化和语言间的桥梁，而电影翻译更是文化速递。虽然担负如此重要 的角色，电影翻译在学术界却一直未受到应有的重视，这也阻碍了电影翻译的迅速 ， 发展。 k 一本文由七个章节组成，主要可分为两个部分。，第一部分( 1 - 2 章) 讨论了翻译、 语言和文化的关系，并阐述了电影翻译的必要性及其意义。 第1 章还提到了翻译的四个主要悖论和翻译的步骤，以及语言的两大功能：心理 学功能和社会学功能。第2 章介绍了当今中国电影翻译的发展状况以及电影翻译研究 的迫切性。 第二部分( 3 - 7 章) 讲述了当代的一些翻译理论及它们在电影翻译中的运用。 第3 章介绍了四个当代翻译理论：奈达的功能对等理论，纽马克的翻译关联法理 论，韦努蒂的译者显形理论，以及塞莱斯科维奇的阐释翻译理论。其中核心是奈达的 功能对等理论虽然奈达本人似乎在一定程度上放弃了他的理论，但笔者认为功能对等 理论提倡灵活的翻译，可作为电影翻译者在电影实践中的指导方针。此外，韦努蒂有 关译者显形的理论也使得电影翻译者对电影译文所做的大幅度调整有了理论支持。第 3 章的结尾部分论述了翻译批评与电影翻译的关系。 第4 到第6 章讨论了电影翻译的三个主要领域：片名翻译，台词翻译和文化信息 翻译。 第4 章，片名翻译，首先解释了片名翻译的重要性以及影响片名翻译的两个因素： 地域差异和利润驱动。然后介绍了片名翻译的三种策略：移植，拼贴，和变形，并分 析了电影译者如何通过阐释性翻译使得片名对电影受众产生更强的吸引力。 第5 章，台词翻译，介绍了两种主要的译制片类型：配音译制片与字幕译制片。 o 在电影翻译中两类译制片都有时间与空间的制约。这种空间与时间的制约对电影翻译 者提出了更大的挑战，而这种挑战是别的翻译类型所不具备的。又因为电影台词绝大 部分是对白，而且角色总在不断变换，因此台词缺乏连贯的篇章。要再现原文的风格， 电影译者往往需要从句法和词法层面着手来求得功能对等。角色化是电影译者再现原 文风格的最佳选择。这是第5 章的另一重点。 第6 章论述了电影中文化信息的传递。主要分为三部分：专有名词的翻译，文化 意象的翻译，和粗俗俚语的翻译。为了更加充分地传递文化信息，译者必须在归化与 异化间取舍，有时候他还要使用阐释性翻译来折中。 第4
