( 2 ) 若有影响，汉语语音意识在阅读发展的不同阶段发挥多大作 用? ( 3 ) 在阅读发展的不同阶段，语音意识的不同维度是否对阅读能 力产生同样的影响? ( 4 ) 视觉语音技能和听觉语音技能对各年级儿童阅读能力的发展 是否产生同样的影响? 本文由六章组成，引言部分简略地介绍了本研究的研究对象、现状和 意义。 第一章综述了语音意识及其与阅读能力关系研究的相关文献。语音意 识是指对个体1 3 语中语音结构的意识及其应用，主要包括音节意识、首音 - 韵脚意识及音位意识等，汉语语音意识还应包括特殊的声调意识。对英 语儿童的大量研究表明，语音意识是预测儿童未来阅读能力发展的最好指 标。发展性阅读障碍研究也表明，大多数阅读障碍儿童存在语音意识的缺 陷。语音意识的训练不仅提高了语音能力，而且促进了阅读能力的发展。 与英语语音意识研究相比，汉语语音意识的研究相对薄弱。在语音意识与 汉语儿童阅读能力之间关系问题上，研究结果并不一致。一种观点认为， 在汉语儿豪阅读能力的发展中，语音意识不能预测其阅读能力。另种观 点却认为，汉语语音意识对儿童阅读能力形成与发展有重要的预测作用。 第二章提出了主要的研究问题。深入剖析总结以往汉语语音意识研究 发现，造成研究结论不一致的原因主要有两个方面：一个方面是各项研究 在研究对象上有局限性，在研究方法上存在差异。在研究对象方面，大部 分的研究是以港台的被试进行的，以大陆普通话儿童的研究还很少见。在 语音意识任务方面，只侧重于其中的二、三个维度，几乎没有全面调查过 各维度的发展状况，大多没有考虑汉语独特的声调意识，也没有考虑过视 觉呈现的语音任务。在阅读能力方面，以往的研究只调查单词的认知能力， 没有对阅读进行整体评价。另一方面，没有从发展的角度研究不同年级儿 童的语音意识与阅读能力发展之间的动态关系。因此，有必要比较系统地 探讨儿童语音意识的发展与阅读能力发展的关系，提出了前面所述的四个 问题。 第三章介绍了本研究的研究方法。被试来自福建师大附小二、四、六 年级的学生各8 0 名，男女比率基本匹配。测验包括计算机辅助测试和纸 笔测试。语音意识的测验包括视觉音节意识、视觉及听觉的首音意识、视 觉及听觉的韵脚意识、视觉声调意识和视觉音位意识等7 项。阅读能力测 试包括反义词判断、句子命题判断、朗读流畅性、汉字识字量测验和篇章 阅读等5 项。语音意识中的音节意识、视觉首音韵脚意识及视觉声调意 识和阅读能力测试中的反义词判断、句子命题判断及朗读流畅性在程序控 制的计算机上完成。其它任务均为纸笔测验，在教室内集体进行。 本研究主要分四步进行数据分析。先进行主成分分析，在各年级的语 音意识各项任务分数和阅读能力测试分数的基础上，分别抽取相应的语音 意识因素分数和阅读因素分数。其次，对各年级进行语音意识及语音意识 i v 各维度与阅读的相关分析。再次，对各年级分别进行以阅读因素分数为因 变量和语音意识因素分数为预测变量的简单回归分析。最后，对各年级分 别进行以阅读因素分数为因变量，以语音意识因素分数为预测变量的逐步 回归分析。 第四章报告了实验结果。第一，汉语语音意识对三个年级儿童阅读发 展都有显著影响。对于二年级儿童，语音意识可以解释其阅读能力中 3 7 8 的变异。对于四年级儿童，语音意识的作用达到顶点，可以解释其 阅读能力中5 1 8 的变异。而对于六年级儿童，语音意识作用有所下降， 仍可以解释其阅读能力中的3 5 5 的变异。 第二，汉语语音意识的不同维度对不同年级儿童阅读能力发展的影响 并不一样。预测二年级儿童阅读能力的重要指标是视觉首音意识和听觉韵 脚意识，预测四年级的是视觉韵脚意识、视觉音位意识和视觉声调意识， 预测六年级的是视觉音位意识。另外，汉语独特的声调意识任务能显著地 预测四年级儿童的阅读能力。 第三，视觉呈现的语音意识任务是预测各年级儿童阅读能力的最好指 标。在三个年级中，听觉韵脚意识是唯一一项有效预测阅读能力的听觉语 音任务。 第五章分析和讨论了实验的结果。第一，本研究有力地证明，汉语语 音意识在儿童阅读发展中扮演着重要的角色。语音意识对整个小学儿童的 阅读发展都有相当预测力，但也只是儿童阅读发展中的一个重要影响因 素，因为语音意识对阅读后期的影响逐渐减弱。这正好反映了阅读发展的 普遍事实，即阅读加工过程中语音中介的通达模式逐渐转向从正字法到语 义表征的直通模式。本研究也得到了一些汉语阅读研究的支持。总之，语 音意识对儿童阅读发展有重要影响，但语音的作用随着年级的升高逐渐被 字形作用所取代。 第二，汉语语音意识的不同维度对各年级儿童阅读发展的影1 向并不一 v 致。在阅读的中早期，首音韵脚意识起最重要的作用，到阅读的后期( 六 年级) ，音位意识成为预测阅读能力的最好指标。这些与前人在拼音文字 的研究结果基本一致。本研究还发现，声调意识在儿童阅读学习的中期( 四 年级) 对阅读能力发展产生显著影响，这可能是汉语语音意识对阅读能力 影响的特殊方面。另外，语音意识的不同维度对阅读能力的影响似乎存在 一个过渡期，具体地说，在阅读中期，首音韵脚意识作用逐渐减弱，而 音位意识逐渐增强。本研究中语音意识的不同维度对阅读的影响与其它的 研究结果并不一致，钡8 验任务的不同可能是造成差异的主要原因。 第三，视觉语音任务比听觉语音任务更有效地预n jl , 重阅读能力。一 个重要原因源于语音意识是一种元语言能力的本质特征，语音意识并非与 言语能力同时出现。因而，语音意识的发展与正字法和文字阅读经验有密 切的关系，视觉呈现的语音意识任务更能够反映语言形、音表征的内在关 系和加工过程，因而更能预测阅读能力。这一发现使我们对多次被引用的 h u a n g 和h a n l e y ( 1 9 9 4 ) 的研究结论进行重新评价。他们的研究结果否 定了汉语语音意识对阅读能力的预测作用，这可能受到测试任务的影响， 但也给我们一些启示：阅读加工过程中视觉技能不可或缺。视觉技能与汉 字阅读存在一些共性。但汉字阅读过程远比视觉辨认复杂，还涉及字形表 征和语音表征的加工过程。可见，视觉技能只是影响阅读的一个因素，本 研究中尝试引入了视觉技能与语音相结合的视觉语音任务，并取得了引人 注耳的结论，即视觉语音任务能更有效地预测儿童阅读能力。因而，在今 后的研究中，比较视觉技能与视觉语音任务在阅读中的作用将具有重要意 义。 第四，简要说明了本研究在方法上的启示和对于汉语语音训练和阅读 教学的启示。 第六章对本研究进行了一个总结。本研究的结论如下： ( 1 ) 汉语语音意识对二、四、六年级儿童阅读发展都有显著影响。 v i 在四年级阶段，语音意识对阅读的贡献率达到顶点，而到六年级，语音意 识的作用急尉下降，甚至小于二年绂。 ( 2 ) 汉语语音意识的不同维度对儿童阅读能力的影响，随着年级的 升高而变化。预n -
