摘要作为会话活动中的一种语用策略，刻意曲解因其强大的话题控制能力而受到关注。本文通过运用当今语用学的热门话题，如关联理论、会话分析和面子论，对英语戏剧对白中的刻意曲解现象从语用学角度进行分析。作者首先探讨了引发刻意曲解的合适条件，概括了它的四个前提：自然语言中的语用模糊、交谈者的共同背景、言语交流中自然存在的关联原则，以及刻意曲解实施者的特有动机。本文接下来对英语戏剧对白中进行刻意曲解的语言手段进行了分类。考虑到刻意曲解在交流中的动态特征，作者还探讨了使用该语用策略时所涉及到的会话技巧。通过控制话题和话轮，刻意曲解的实施者和接收者成功地完成了这一特殊的交流过程。刻意曲解实施者使用这一语用策略的最终目的取决于其本人和剧作者的意图，即为了获得一定的语用效果。基于“面子论”(
