南京师范大学硕士研究生论文 中文摘要 了不起的盖茨比是菲茨杰拉德的代表作之一。半个多世纪以来， 一直都受到文学评论界的广泛关注。在众多的文学评论中，很少有评论 家不涉及该作品的女性，尤其是从黛西这一人物来研究此作品。其中对 小说中女性的评价，贬多于褒。而且如何全面客观地认识这三位女性的 负面形象，此方面的研究不多。本文主要从读者的角度，探讨小说中所 刻画的三位来自不同社会阶层的女性人物：黛西、乔丹和茉特尔的负面 形象，分析造成她们负面形象的各种因素，指出她们的负面形象中有怒 其不争的一面，又有哀其不幸之处，更有作为女性，自我意识的觉醒， 反叛社会对女性传统认识的闪光之处。 全文共分四章。第一章主要展示小说中所刻画的三位女性的非道德 形象。同时指出三位来自不同社会阶层的女性，在某种程度上代表了上 一世纪2 0 年代美国女性形象：时髦女郎。 第二章主要分析形成三位女性道德堕落的社会文化因素。社会文化 因素主要包括社会物质条件的影响，新的传播媒体的出现，宗教意识的 变化，流行的哲学思想以及信仰的缺失。 第三章从作家本人的角度讨论女性这一非道德形象产生的因素。首 先作家本人是一位传统道德较保守的人，他对女性的角色有着传统的理 解，对时髦女郎既爱又恨。这种复杂情感影响了他对作品中女性形象及
